snackTAXI--The Original Reusable Bags for Snacks & Sandwiches{A Winey Mommy Review & Giveaway}

Packing snacks is always a must for our family. Now that Madelyn also enjoys to have baby snacks we use twice the amount of plastic bags as before. I hate thinking about how many plastic bags just go straight to the landfills every year from our family. I have tried out other ways to pack our travel snacks, but the containers seem to use up more room than I have available in my purse.

Enter the snackTAXI--the original reusable bags for snacks & sandwiches. I was given the chance to try them out--and I jumped at the offer. snackTAXIs were invented my Erin Kelly-Dill back in 2003. As a mom of 3 she hated thinking how many of their family's plastic bags were being dumped in the landfills each year--and in one school year they used more than 500 plastic bags in packed lunches.

They offer a variety of different snackTAXIs to appeal to everyone--complete with a great selection of fabric choices. I was sent a sample of the produce-sack, sandwich-sack, snack-sack, and twice-as-nice napkin. They were all perfectly sized--I loved them all! Leo thought they were a great product as well. He'll be using the sandwich-sack to take with him to work on days he packs his lunch. Today I tested out the snack-sack for our trip to the local coffee shop. I filled it up with Goldfish and velcroed it shut.

I loved using the snackTAXI today. A lot of times with my plastic bags wouldn't be sealed and I would get crumbs all over the bottom of my purse. Not today! And you can see in the pictures above that once I closed the pouch I shook it all over the place--upside down, on its side, etc. NOTHING came out! It was awesome. I loved reviewing the snackTAXI and would recommend them to anyone who wants to cut down on the amount of plastic bags they use. They're easy to use, easy to clean and you can fit a lot in the pouch.
