My Husband Should Be a Landscaper...

This picture cracks me up! Look at that expression and wild baby hair!
Oh how she loves her bath time

Good morning, everyone! How is your weekend so far? Ours is great! Although it did start yesterday, so could that be a reason why we are loving ours so much already? Hehe :)

Yesterday was great! Leo watched our Isabella and my friend's Isabella (they are both the same age! He's a brave brave man, that husband of mine) so us two moms could go and watch Sex and the City--which was a great movie! It was nice to go and see a movie after not seeing one for 8 months or so. After we got back we took Isabella to Lowe's where we bought a ton of landscaping stuff for the front yard. Leo got out by our tree done which looks so amazing! I'll be taking pictures this weekend after it's all complete. For those of you who have been to our house, I think you will be pleasantly surprised :) Our house is really starting to feel like a home now.
Isabella is all better now. Thank goodness! She sure had a rough last week, that's for sure. It breaks my heart when she's not feeling her best.
I hope everyone is having a good weekend. I hope to post some pics of the landscaping later this weekend. Enjoy the pics of Isabella above!

A Quick Update From the Garza Family

Well, we are all at home now (for the time being!). We had such a wonderful trip and hated leaving everyone. My family was so hospitable and (like always) made us feel right at home. Leo came up Memorial Day weekend and we drove up to Indiana to see my Dad's family. It was so nice seeing all of them--I haven't seen most of them for 4 years! Isabella got to meet her Great Great Grandma (I have posted a 5 generation photo). Pretty unbelievable, right? You don't see that very often and I feel very blessed to have been given the opportunity.

Isabella is sick, poor sweet baby. She has a yucky stomach virus w/a fever that has stayed at 101-102. She had to get a couple of shots on Tuesday, so the Ped thought w/the combo of both that it intensified both of them. Please say a quick prayer that she gets better soon. I know she would appreciate it!

And finally, have I told you that we're getting a Cocker Spaniel? She was born April 18th and we have named her Daisy. We'll be getting her in a month! I am so excited and you know I'll take lots of pictures of her and Bella together.

Enjoy the pictures above and hopefully when Bella gets well I can get back to posting more. Take care, be safe and God Bless You!

Cake, Cardinals and New Beginnings

Wow, so much has happened in the past couple of weeks! In a nutshell, my baby brother graduated high school, Isabella: went to her first minor league baseball game, ate her first piece of cake by herself, went to her first zoo trip and her latest milestone.....her 2 bottom teeth have broken through!!! Yay! Enjoy the pictures and once I get back home next week I'll be sure to write daily :) I miss you all!

There's No Place Like Home...

Isabella and I are having a fabulous time in Springfield! I love being with my family, there really is no place like home. Especially when you have lived so far away for so many years. We have already went shopping and I went and got my hair done by my favorite hairdresser EVER! It's short and blonder, just like I've wanted and needed :) Nothing like some highlights to perk up your mood, right?

We are having so much fun but we also miss Leo. He'll be joining us in a couple of weeks. I'll try to get some pics of all of us here to show ya'll!

Must. Drink. Coffee.

Oh, I am so tired. So, so tired. Isabella took a late evening "nap". I warned Leo, don't let her fall asleep, whatever you do, don't let her fall asleep. We were watching tv, she was drinking her bottle and whaddu ya know....she falls asleep. I knew we were all going to be in for a loooong night ahead. And I was right.

Leo finally got her to sleep around, oh, ONE in the morning. Everytime she would fall asleep she would scream, sob, cry. Tears were streaming down her face. I would hold her and give her kisses and she finally stopped sobbing, but was still having the after effects....shaking, shaky sounding sighs-it broke my heart she was that upset.

I woke up at 6 this morning, she woke up crying because she wanted her paci. It is now 7:30 and she is still sleeping, so that is good--I hope she sleeps for awhile longer...yesterday was a hard day and she needs her sleep!

Before I post I have to tell you we are getting a Golden Doodle puppy!!! We'll probably be able to get him/her around the beginning of August sometime. I am so excited! I already have names picked out. "Daisy" if she is a she and "Sampson" if he is a he. If you don't know what a Golden Doodle is, go and google it...they are the cutest dogs and one of the top breeds for families. So go check it out and I bet you'll want one, too.
