Remember When...

 {photo credit: Google images}

Remember when we were able to go and tp someone's house? Ha! Those were the days. Getting together with all of your girlfriends, dressing in black or as dark of colors as possible, getting backpacks full of toilet paper and a flashlight or two to make your way over to the victim's home.

Growing up I lived out in the country for a long time. Pretty quiet road, not too many people driving down it and a favorite house to go and get. He was a friend of us all, he just happened to be the only other person our age that lived as far out as us!

We would sneak over, giggling, stumbling--I usually fell down or tripped multiple times...yes, I am that clumsy. We would then begin shushing each other, telling everyone to be quiet and diving into the bushes or high grass on the side of the road as a rare vehicle would drive by.

Then came the actual art of doing the tp'ing. Seriously, that was so much fun! Throwing it up in the air, wrapping it around bushes, cars and tree trunks. Throwing until our arms were on fire and we were only down to the cardboard rolls. The rush we got while doing it, running back home and laughing until we cried and the best part? Waking up early enough in the morning to see our masterpiece.

Oh my gosh, y'all--I sometimes wish I wasn't older...I mean, could I really go tp'ing now?! I think it would be awesome! I love to laugh, love a good prank--and I definitely could think of some people I would hit up first. I saw the housewives on RHOC {please don't judge. I'm a reality junkie, remember?} and they did it...but it was so boring. They didn't go home and laugh so hard until they cried--they didn't even all follow through with their sleepover to see their work the next day. B-O-R-I-N-G!

So I want you to tell me...who would you love to tp--with it being a given that they would never, ever, ever catch you? And why?

I'll go first. They're both girls--not telling you where they live, because, well honestly? If they actually read this then they would know it was them. And I like to stay fairly drama free around here...

Anyway. You probably know the type--generally not that great of a person and usually lacking in many areas to make them an appealing person. They don't understand why you're not closer as friends...well, maybe if they took a step back and could watch themselves interact with actual people they could see why they don't have a lot of friends. They treat people like crap. They're rude. And they take advantage of people who are nice to them. Real gems aren't they?

There you have it friends. My tp victims....and now? I can't wait to hear who your victims would be...

A couple of years ago we went and TP my MIL's friends house. She was at a party at my MIL's house so we knew we wouldn't get caught! Ha! It was a blast wrapping a house like when we were kids!!!

Oh man, I love TP-ing! I honestly don't know who I would TP. It would have to be someone with big trees, because it's just not as cool-looking without big trees!

I once helped TP using over 400 rolls of toilet paper, what's your record?

400 rolls of toilet paper???
Actually, other than the inconvenience, what's the harm?

My brother and I have this sick and twisted christmas gift game. A few years back i got him a bunc hof really good toilet paper for the occasion and wrote a silly little poem. He also received a little flying helicopter from my mom. Well gifts were opened. Wine was flowing and the next morning, Christmas morning that is, I awoke to my entrie house TP'd via my brother, the gift and the helicopter. I need to get him back...as soon as he buys his first house!!

Total rite of passage isn't it? I loved doing that! I really don't see it nearly as much anymore, and I can't believe I made it through my kids school years without getting TP

I'd SO love to TP my neighbor's house. He was out with the snowblower the other morning at 4:45am!! We don't need alarm clocks when it snows. I've HAD it with that guy!!

We called it {rolling} in our neighborhood. We got rolled three days straight, as me and my brothers were in 15 sports. Needless to say, I can still remember how unhappy Pops was. Thanks for bringing back as great memory.

Ah...the memories...

We used to fork people's yards. You buy a bunch of cheap plastic forks and stick them in someone's yard in the winter. They get stuck when the yard gets cold and hard. When you try to pull them out then next morning, they break off in the ground. Ha! Those were the days.

We also used to put glazed doughnuts on door knobs, so when you reached back to pull it closed you got a nice sticky surprise. I was a rotten teenager.

Thanks for the trip down memory lane...I would TP, fork, and glaze doughnut my neighbor with an extremely, extremely loud truck that makes my dogs go nuts and wakes Abby every time he goes anywhere. Seriously? We live in suburbia, & I have yet to see him haul anything in that truck.

I only did the tp-ing a few times. One time as we were running back down the street an old lady came out of her house and started yelling, "Why did you do this to me?" I felt so bad! We had no idea who lived there just picked a random house.

I was tp-ed by the youth group at church that we were the leaders of...they got busted by one of my neighbors. He actually hunted them down and made them come back to our hosue and then he supervised them cleaning up our yard. It was just crazy!

There is a family at my church that has a battle going on with one of their close family friends. They do stuff like tping each other all of the time. I thought it was so weird when I first heard them talking about it but now I kinda want to go along for the fun!

oo man love this post! I had a group of girlfriends that always tped a group of guys houses. We had a bail of hay and a police department orange cone that we would leave. Then when they did one of our houses we would get it back. We went crazy though.. not just TP.. but shaving cream.. writing messages in the law. One of the guys houses we hung tampons from his tree! OOhh great fun! Well except that one time we got caught by the parents!! not cool! We had to come back over the next day to help him take it down. He felt bad because we had to help :-P

Love it! We used to do that when I was a teenager, but we were hardcore. We had a potato gun, and we built an attachment out of PVC that fit tp rolls. Tp the top of a 30 foot pine tree? No problem! It wasn't exactly stealth tp-ing, but it was effective! And if you shoot tp into a pine tree in the fall and it stays intact and doesn't unroll, it won't biodegrade for like a year. Just FYI. ;-)

When I was in high school, friends and I TP'd a girl's house... Well, they TP'd and I watched, b/c I felt guilty. The girl whose house they were TPing was actually a friend of mine, but I was too scared to object. *shame* However. Now that girl whose house they TP'd is a bonafide frenemy, and I hate to say it, but I probably wouldn't feel bad buying some TP from Sam's or BJ's just to use on her house.

I loved TPing! My parents took me, my sister and a bunch of our friends out for our first time - I think we were probably around 12-11ish.

I don't know who I'd do though...
