This & That Thursday...

* Maddie has a tooth through on the bottom row. Her first tooth. I seriously cannot believe it. I saw that the two bottom teeth looked like they were about to come through, but other than that? No teething symptoms whatsoever. She is seriously the happiest, sweetest, bestest baby in the world. Love her!

*She also can say "dada" and "dadada". I may have a literary genius on my hands...and I need to start practicing "mama" asap.

*I'm frozen. Like a Chelle popsicle. Seriously. We have a winter storm watch...what the?!?! For those of you that don't know? We live on the coast. The beach is practically down the street. Oh well--I would love for Bella to see some snow here! She loves the stuff.

*We bought a Blu Ray or is it blu ray? Whatevs. We bought one and I'm sooo excited. My first film? Paranormal Activity. Have you seen it? I still haven't watched it. It's still on the counter. In the wrapper. I may or may not be too nervous/scared to watch it...

*I also bought these asics running shoes. They are the most comfortable tennis shoes I have ever owned in my life. I'm not kidding. And I've owned a ton of running shoes. I can't wait to start running once it warms up a little bit more...

*Isabella's favorite movie is Annie. The original, classic Annie. She sings the songs. Dances. And has parts memorized. Girlfriend is obsessed--but it's so adorable! We She may be trying out for Broadway in the future...

*Do you watch the Bad Girls Club? I am raising my hand--but in a hidden kind of raise. You know the one where you're not sure if someone is raising their hand or not? Because I don't know why I heart that show. The drama. The insanity. It's the show I watch during naptime. Love it.

*I want my hair dark again. And my appointment isn't until March 20th. *sigh* I used to have to be blond. Now? I want the brunette back. I'm way too indecisive.

*For V-day I'm making my mom's famous strawberry pop cake. With homemade strawberry pop frosting. Yum! And I'm pretty sure we're going to El Bosque--and I'll be loading up with drinking a few margaritas. Buy one get one free!

*Okay, so last week after I wrote that whole puppy post, the people's behind us dog came over to our house. She is the best dog ever. I even updated my facebook status that we now had a dog. And she may/may not be technically ours. There were questions about that. Anyway. So now Isabella is always asking for the dog and puppy.

*Then tonite we were reading the Christmas book about Mistletoe the red and green kitten. The whole time she was saying "Awwww, Mommy, poor poor kitty tat. It's okay kitty. Come my house daddy work."  Which translated for you she was saying, it's okay cat! Just stay at our home, we'll let you inside when daddy is at work. Bwahaha! I died laughing and when I told Leo he shook his head. He better hope no strays come around...

*Isabella used to hate strangers. Until recently. She says hi and bye to them all. At a restaurant? She'll greet and tell them all hi/bye. I need to start having the talk about stranger danger...

*No more poop mishaps this week. Thank God. I was beginning to worry there for a few days...

*I'm pretty sure I'll be buying Photoshop Elements soon. I've been dying to buy it for so long. But then I chicken out. But I looove taking pictures. Capturing moments. Capturing time. It's one passion that I haven't tossed to the side. And if you knew me? You'd be amazed by that...

*So as a sign off...are you Valentine's Day hater or lover? Do you do anything special? For me, I love buying cards for the family and making the pop cake. But we don't go all crazy with gifts. I'd rather be surprised out of the blue without the prompting of such a commercialized holiday. I remember in junior high/high school all of the girls would get tons of stuff from boyfriends or parents. I hated it. I always went home and ate all of my candy feeling sorry for myself, haha!

*Love y'all. Awww! So mushy of me! {and no, I haven't had any wine tonite...saving that for this weekend, too!}

For Valentines we usually go to the movies and maybe out to eat. And that cake sounds yummy!

We don't really do anything for Valentines. We suck. I know.

Excited you got a blu ray (Blu Ray?). You should write a little something about it once you use it. I'm still not sure what that's all about. All i know is that movies look amazing. Whatever that means.

Sounds like you have a nice low key Valentines Day planned. That is what I like. We were going to go out but Lew has to work.
For Will I was going to turn his milk pink and red for a day...little things like that. Maybe a balloon or two as well.
I hope Isabella gets to see some snow...that would be a nice little treat for her.
Take care girl and have a great day!

So glad there have been no more poop mishaps! :-D

I love Valentine's Day, and I always have, but it might have more to do with my b-day being so close than that actual holiday... But I've always been a fan. :-)

That cake sounds good! And the drinks, too.

I'm so jealous of your easy teether. My kids whined and cried their way through that.

Valentine's Day- kind of indifferent. We don't do much to celebrate, but I wouldn't say that I hate it.

It's cold here - I'd assume so since we only live, what?, maybe three hours from each other. *lol* I'm enjoying it, but the weather seriously needs to make it's "mind" up - if it's going to be cold, then it needs to stay that way more than a day or two, and not jump up to the 60's the next day. *lol*

We got a blu ray for Christmas this year, but it was one of those cheaper ones, and the picture quality is better, but I'd like to get one of those really good ones at some point. (Haven't watched Paranormal Activity - I'm a chicken and won't watch scary movies, especially alone... but I will watch the new Saw at some point - of ours Rich'll be here. And it'll be daytime.)

I love asic's! I've gone through so many tennis shoes, but I always go back to them in the end. Or New Balances - which is what I currently have. And they don't get used to running - I'm a fat kid, and we throw the earth out of rotation when we run. *lmao* I love that joke.

Ohh, BGC's was good this week - I used to like Flo, but then she just went crazy! Lexie is a cute girl, but wow... listening to her makes my brain hurt. And I still love Annie, she's my girl.

I've had my hair it's naturaly mousy brown for years now, I'm ready to go back blonde. *lol* I just hate the idea of paying so much to get it done every few weeks. Yuck.

I found a recipe for strawberry pop cake, and I'm thinking of making it for fun. Or for Rich to take to work, either way it'd get eaten.

That would so be me with our kids about the cat - I'm a huge animal person, so if I could rescue some, I would. And have to lie to Rich about it.

Yay for no poop! :)

We haven't really celebrated V-Day since the year after we got married. I think people blow too much money on that one day, when they could just spread it out througout the year and do something nice once a month. We'll probably just rent some movies, get take out and curl up in the bed and veg - it works for me. :)

My kids love the movie Annie, too.
I dye my hair with Nice and Easy 116.
It's cold here, too, and my kids played in the snow all morning.
I have a bad short-term memory b/c I can't remember anything else you wrote about.

I'm a Valentine's ignorer.

Now I kinda can't wait to see your hair dark!

I have a blu ray player too!

I have mixed feelings about V-Day; feel good when I get stuff and feel bad when I don't. LOL. Every day is love day at our house!

p.s. You are such a lucky momma having the happiest, sweetest, bestest baby in the world!

p.s.s. I'm going to check out those new running shoes. I've been trying to find a good pair.

No teething symptoms! Lucky! Peanut is a mess right now. She has four teeth, but two more coming in. Torture!!

I've got a pair of Asics and they are wonderful. I can't say that I've ever been running in them.....

Unknown said...

Aww, it's so sweet when they start talking! Good luck with the dog, you'll have to keep us posted!

I tried out Adobe Elements, and I loved it. I'm not that great with it, but soo many options!

Enjoy your Valentine's day! We'll spend ours at home with a bottle of wine (when the kids are in bed of course ;))

Happy almost Valentine's Day!

I've never had Asics before.

And, you'll have to let me know about Elements. I only hear good things and know it's so much cheaper!
