Her 1st Movie...Quite Possibly Her Last...

Look how sweet she looks as we were walking out of the door....

I took Isabella to go see Up! on Tuesday.

We left before the movie had even been on for 30 minutes.

It was that. bad.

Our short experience was filled with:

Lots of talking (which wasn't bad), anytime she'd drop and M&M she'd say "uh-oh!" (again, not bad--I laughed a little at this one), then the chair kicking started (of the older woman in front of me with her grandchildren), which got followed by running away from me and climbing the stairs to the very top, screaming "NOOOO!" at me as I attempted to grab her and take her home, and ending with dragging her down the ramp while she screamed, "NOOOO!" the entire. way. down.

Once we were outside on the way to our car she looks at me, smiles and says...."Happy!"

I didn't know whether to laugh, cry or quite possibly do both.

It looks like we'll be waiting quite awhile before we venture to the theatre again...and I don't think she'll mind one bit!

Oh no, that is too funny! My almost 4 year old has only lasted through WALL-E. Today he saw half of Transformers in the afternoon, and fell asleep in his father's arms throughout the movie! That is such a gorgeous picture of her!

Oh my gosh! When I was her age my grandparents took me to see The Land Before Time.

Not 5 minutes into the movie I was terrified for the dinosaurs and ran up and down the aisle screaming.

I think it happens to everyone!

Maybe it was too dark in there for her!? Or maybe she's just a toddler... ; )

And that is why I go to the free summer movies - or the second-run discounted theater.

Funny post and awesome picture.

We are in the same boat here. I took Ben to see "Horton Hears a Who" and he had a hard time having to stay in one place. We left after about an hour. They have free movies at Regal and AMC this summer if you want to try again.

I am so sorry - but I am laughing, but only because I am feeling your pain on this one! We took Carter to see Shrek 3 at the discounted theater and it was not pretty. We debated several times whether we should leave or not, but in the end stuck it out. There was only 1 other family there and they were having their fair share of problems too. Our adventure involved throwing popcorn and running through the aisles. It was a LONG time before we tried that again!

Movies are tricky. We've only taken Avery to one movie in a theater. Even though he did well, I've been hesitant to go back...

He has a hard enough time sitting through movies at home.

I laugh only because it has happened to me as well - I took my now 2 1/2 year old for the first time when she was abou 13 months and she ran up and down stairs giggling as loud as she could. Of course the more I tried to catch her the faster she ran!!! Better luck next time!

I laughed so hard when you told me about movie day on the phone (i had tears running down my cheeks!) and now I'm laughing all over again. What a little stinker! & there's no way to reconcile that story with that sweet sweet picture!

Love you all!
