Pedia-Lax Fiber Gummies {A Winey Mommy Review & Giveaway}

It seems like the older Isabella gets the pickier of an eater she becomes.  The little girl who once gobbled up every fruit, vegetable and whole wheat bread now has a picky taste.

Although I love that she has likes and dislikes it's getting harder and harder to make sure she is eating enough fiber in her daily diet.

I recently received a bottle of Pedia-Lax Fiber Gummies for Isabella to try.  I knew they would be a huge hit--she loves her gummy vitamins!  Sure enough, she loves them.  She has one gummy three times per day.  She thinks it's a "meena" {what she calls vitamins} and she knows that they aren't like her fruit snacks.  She only gets them when Mommy or Daddy gives them to her.

It's really easy to remember to give them to her, too.  I first thought it would be hard for me to remember another thing, but the truth is I just give her one gummy with each meal.  It's caught on as part of our routine which I LOVE!

**About Pedia-Lax Fiber Gummies**

In 2009 the American Academy of Pediatrics significantly increased the recommended daily fiber intake standards. It had previously been the "age plus five" rule. The updated guidelines recommend 25 grams of fiber per day for four-year-old children.

 The penguin-shaped, great tasting Pedia-Lax Fiber Gummies {for children 2-11} are sugar-free, calorie-free, gluten-free and made with natural fruit flavors. With a recommended serving of three gummies every day, (equal to ½ cup of broccoli!), Fiber Gummies are a great way to supplement the fiber found in fruits, vegetables and other fiber-rich foods in your child’s daily diet.

These gummies are also approved by dentists--which is great.  So many gummies are frowned upon by dentists and this is wonderful news for those of us who try to limit the amount of gummies/sweets that we give our children.

Suggested retail price is $7.99 for a bottle of 60 gummies; available at Target and Walgreens, also online and other supermarkets and retailers nationwide. Basically you can find them anywhere!

You can also visit their website to get a $1.00 off coupon!  If you want to find the closest store that sells Pedia-Lax Fiber Gummies simply click on their store locator and type in your info. Their site also has many great tips for incorporating more fiber into our diets. A great source of information for us trying to stick to our New Year's resolution of becoming a healthier eater!

I learned that to maximize the benefit of fiber in the diet, it is essential to drink plenty of water. Most experts recommend drinking eight 8-ounce glasses of water every day.
