Must Love Wine, Crafts and Shopping...

Wanted:

Someone (a girl, please, no men....) who loves to craft. Willing to spend time making lots of fun crafts, learning craftiness. I'm willing to learn anything and teach any "skills" I may have.

Must also like to have wine and yummy margaritas. Preferably on the front or back porch while the kids are playing and the husbands/boyfriends/fiances are bbq'ing.

Bonus if you have children--they can play while we craft it up. Plus they are a great inspiration, right?

Likes to go to garage sales, craft shows, antique shops. Must love a bargain and must love finding a treasure that we can be proud of only spending a few bucks on.

Maybe start a bookclub of some sorts. But only if we agree on the book.

Likes to go get pedis, shopping and watching a movie at an actual movie theater!! Where we can eat popcorn and candy and pick out the movie of our choice. Sad, scary, happy--doesn't matter. Just going to the theater will make my day!

Oh--and we must live near each other in order for this to work out. I'm not so great at the whole long distance relationship thing....

***I wish I could place an ad like this! Is it really this hard to find people that live by you and that you truly want to hang out with? Is it because I'll be 30 in 12 days? Is it harder to make friends when you are older?***

Oh Chelle, honestly I think it is harder to make friends when you get older, but only because we value it way more than we did in high school or college.

I'd be your crafty, pedicure friend for sure, if we lived a little close :)

If only we lived closer! I'd do ALL of those things with you - except I'd trade in the wine and margaritas for a Diet Coke! :)

Come to Texas and we can craft it up!!! I do think it is harder to make friends as we get older. I am in the same boat as you. I feel like I have NO friends! I do but we are all in different stages of life and it is hard to intermingle. Is that even a word???

i was totally going to answer this ad until you mentioned that part about living close...

how long till you move home?

and yes the friend thing now, as one old lady to another, is sooo weird!!

I wish I could send out the same friend ad! I moved two years ago and have made friends but none that I really connect with or have lots in commen with. Usually the only thread of commanality is we have kids the same age. I just want a friend who likes to be crafty and has similar taste as me. Is that too hard to ask for? So bottom line I understand completely!!! Wish we lived close to you guys!! ..ps I also need a friend who's husband/boyfriend is a computer geek. Finding "couple" friends is even tougher!!

Did you read my mind? Well, actually the last commenter (Becks) was more like me. I have friends, but they're all too far away or don't like the same stuff as me. And couple friends are non-existent. My husband (computer geek) honestly doesn't have a single friend here. I feel so bad for him, but he doesn't mind too much. I just want a couple friend for both of us! Oh, and I'd totally be your friend if you could forgive me for trading out the wine and margaritas for sweet tea.

I know exactly what you mean...if only we lived closer :) And the best finds are definitely the ones you spend the least amount of money on!

oo I so could write this same post! I love all of those things.. but I live in a small town in VA and can't seem to find people that like the same things as me!

If only I was closer...damn stipulations! We would totally be besties..and so would our girls!

Wouldn't it be nice to be able to post an ad like that? I've moved enough times in the past few years that I don't have any friends that live nearby. It's hard finding good mama friends that share your interests. I may try craigslist, LOL!

Oh wow, I totally feel you Michelle! I've been yearning lately for Mike and me to have for couple friends to hang out, but it's so freaking hard when you don't have the built in social circles that are school/college! I wish we could do this.....without fear of weirdos replying. lol
