This week has been filled with a very sick Madelyn who we had to take to the ER with a temp over 104...turns out she had an ear infection, a sick Bella and a sick me. Seriously?! I am beyond sick of being sick. Done. Hear that germs?? Leave us alone!
Anyway, I'm a day late for posting Sing it Saturday, but that's okay because now we'll have an extra day to link up. If you're new to Sing it Saturday/Sunday, join in! What song got you through the week or what song sums up your week?
Here's my pick for the week--Bob Marley's Three Little Birds. Seriously--could my week have been any more difficult? So Bob got me through and just hearing this song makes me happy!

Men's Health Week: June 14-20--Keep the Man in Your Life Healthy!
I am going to be honest with my readers. My husband rarely visits the doctor unless it's an emergency. Whether it's his back, ankle or something else, I have to force him to be seen--which is totally opposite than myself.
Did you know that during a research study that was recently completed that men are 31 percent less likely to visit their doctor than a woman? This number does not surprise me, but I want to help spread the word for Men's Health Week June 14-20 to get more men in to see their doctor.
What are ways that you, as a reader, can help? Consider doing any or all of the following:
-Send the father in your life a Father's Day card from http://www.dadtothedoc.org
-Ask him to take this health quiz: http://www.dadtothedoc.org
-Visit ahrq.gov/healthymen to see what ages are recommended for a variety of health tests and screenings, health care quiz, tips for talking with his doctor, glossary of consumer health terms, and great links to many online resources.
Keep your eyes open for a new PSA that is geared towards men and taking care of their health!

Aquafresh: Mom Works Beyond Contest
It's no secret that us moms have many different titles to our name. Whether you are a stay at home mom, work at home mom, work away from home to everything in between we are workers and we work hard.
There are times in our mom roles that we will work beyond being a mom. For me it's easy to see how I, as a mom, work beyond this. Being a military spouse I am constantly juggling schedules, appointments, well baby check-ups, being the only parent while Leo is TDY {Temporary Duty--which is always out of town for him} and being a single parent while he is deployed fighting a war overseas. There are also times when he gets called into work during "off" duty time--and I say "off" duty time because when you are in the US military you are at work 24/7 and 365. So that means that I am also the one working and taking care of my family and home.
I love being a military spouse more than anything. I believe that it builds good character in myself and my two daughters. We know what it's like to have a parent fighting a war. We know what it's like having mom be both mom & dad while dad is away {hello...I have been doing lawn mowing and landscaping...and I LIKE it, haha!}. We know that without our support my husband wouldn't be able to perform at a high performance level. My mom duty has definitely now shaped into the backbone of my family role.
I have had the opportunity to partner up with Aquafresh--and they want me to find out from you--my readers--how Mom {you!} Works Beyond. Aquafresh is committed to lending moms a hand by supplying them with products, such as the amazing iso-active Whitening toothpaste, that achieves 33% better whitening compared to a non-whitening toothpaste. Now it’s your turn to share what makes you work beyond as Aquafresh wants to hear about these moments and celebrate you as mom through their Mom Goes Beyond campaign.
Simply leave a comment below telling me an inspiring or moving event that has occurred to you being a mom. On June 9th I will randomly pick one comment to be entered towards the grand prize--a year's worth of FREE Aquafresh products and a $500 Wal-Mart gift card! Your story will also be showcased on the Aquafresh Facebook page! The Aquafresh creative team will have the winner picked by July 7th.
Get to thinking--and leave me a comment. I cannot wait to read your inspiring stories and get to pick a winner who will go ahead to compete with the other nominees! Good luck to you all!

Why is My Second Toe Longer Than My Big Toe?
Haha! Okay, I have no answer for that one, but decided to make up some totally random title tonite. I can't wait to see how many people end up on my blog asking that!
I know, I know I am a big dork--but it's all good because y'all? Today I am answering questions that you asked me last week!! I am so excited!
Oh--since my answers are long'ish I'll be dividing this up for everyone's sanity. You're welcome.
Purseblogger asks:
Where is your favorite place to shop for clothes? That one is super easy--I love going to the Gap Outlet! Great sales, great clothes...love it all. Now if money were no object? I would totally shop at Anthropologie. And I would be the happiest. girl. ever.
An embarrassing moment? Ohmyword. I have WAY too many...but the one that takes the cake would be this one...for sure...I was in 7th going into 8th grade. It was summertime, I was at the fair with my bestie. We had followed cute boys around all day. Rode rides. Had fun. I was on my period. Not fun. {It gets even better...} So, we see some people we knew from school. As we're walking away they start yelling my name. I'm thinking what the hell?! Yeah...my period? Was all over my shorts. AHHHHH! I shit you not. I had to run to the bathroom crying my eyes out--it was there I met a Saint of a woman who not only gave me a pad {this is when tampons freaked me out...} and bought me a long t-shirt to cover up the disgusting mess on myself. God, did I seriously just admit this to the world...
What made you start blogging? Well, when I started blogging it was for my family to read about our family since we are a military family and don't live by anyone. Once I started reading other blogs and blog hopping I got hooked! I haven't stopped for over two years. Well, I did stop in the beginning of my pregnancy with Madelyn due to my severe morning sickness...
Krista asks:
Secret for success in blogging? Pleease, pretty please?? This one had me giggle--only because I really wish I knew, too! To me success is what you make out of it. Do you want to keep a journal of your lives for your children to read back on one day and hate you for awhile for all of the embarrassing dog poop eating stories? Keep it up and you'll have success! Do you want to have tons of readers and subscribers and fans? I am guessing that you need to market yourself, your blog, your brand. Leave witty, funny comments--something more than "Funny post" or "I'm following your blog, you can follow me back here: http://beggingforreadersneverworks.com". So to me? Success is what you make of it--as long as it makes you happy you are successful {to me!}.
Shell asks:
So, when are you coming to visit me? That's my question. :) Girl, you and me BOTH! I would love to go and visit you--I heart you and want todrink until dawn and hang out and laugh and make s'mores and... get there as soon as possible. I'm thinking maybe we should make a bloggy vacay for all of us who just want to go and mingle with other bloggers...hang out...laugh....and eat tons of food. Oh--and don't forget the wine! And margaritas!
Okay, lovers, that's it for tonite. My brain is tired and my wine glass needs to be refilled. *secretly hoping Leo read that last bit...hehe!*
