Can You Feel the Love Tonite...

Ooohhh...I so know you were singing the Lion King song!

It's okay because I was, too. It'll be our secret, okay?

Have I ever told you how much I love reading meme's on other people?

Oh, my friends, I do. I really do! And guess what?

One of my favorite bloggers Kelli over at Writing the Waves of Motherhood tagged me. I have to tell you 7 very interesting and unknown facts about me that I know you are dying to know.

There's just something about telling my bloggy friends these random facts that you know you would never go up to people in real life and tell them.

Because let's be honest with one another. Nobody wants to know:

1) I want my nose pierced. I have always wanted a tiny little diamond on (in?) my nose. My mom (hi, mom!) would probably die. She already hates my tattoos. But how I see it? I only live once and I want to do this before I'm too old.

2) I change my mind. A lot. I am probably the worst decision maker when it comes to myself and what I want. For instance, remember how I wanted to chop off all of my hair into a cute really short style? Yeah, not so much anymore. I still want bangs, so maybe I'll just get bangs and see how that goes first.

3) My second toe is longer than my big toe. I get a lot of my features from my dad. My beautiful green eyes, the dark eyebrows and the abnormally long second toe. Growing up I hated it. But I soon got over that hatred because of my love for flip flops and pedicures. Why get a pedi if I'm not going to show it off, right?

4) I was in the Air Force for seven years. I met my husband while in the Air Force and I am so grateful to the military for bringing us together. I was in Iraq in 2004--a month after Leo and I got married. A month. It was the hardest thing ever and we had many struggles, but in the end I believe that that separation brought us even closer together. It also made me realize I am a lot tougher and stronger (mentally and physically) than I ever gave myself credit for.

5) I love baking. It's one of my passions. Cakes, cookies, brownies, muffins--you name it I love to bake it. The downfall to this passion is that everything is so good that it gets eaten pretty quickly. I have an enormous sweet tooth so I am beginning to wonder if I should get a new passion.

6) I have never had to mow a lawn. Ever. I have never even started a lawn mower. I'm not sure why, but that's just the way it's been. The men in my family and now my husband takes care of that. I do, however, pull weeds from our flower beds. I am the weed puller, Leo is the lawn mower.

7) And for my final fact....I have never seen a Star Wars movie. Ever. Please don't tell me, omg, you have to see Star Wars! It's amazing, it's great, blah blah blah. Because I have absolutely. no. desire. to see it.

And because I love breaking rules, I'm not going to tag anyone. If you want to do it, go at it and have fun with it! And remember to let me know because I love reading meme's!

Rubber Ducky, You're My Only One

Let me tell you a secret...this little girl here? She likes LOVES bathtime.

Look how happy she is...splishing and splashing...laughing....playing....

Uh-oh...she knows bathtime has now turned into bedtime....not a good thing she has realized this before I have taken her out of the tub...

And now it's bedtime. Which someone is so obviously not excited about...

Hm. Maybe this Momma needs to stop having giggle fests and start having more naptimes.

I Hate to Tell You This....

Okay, what I'm about to tell you may hurt.

It may hurt a little.

Or it may hurt you a lot. Like it does me.

Oh, how it hurts me. It hurts me to maybe have to hurt you.

Take a deep breath....

We. Have. No. Target. Store.

Ahhh....it feels good to finally say this out loud...this sad, sad truth.

The nearest Target is an hour away. An hour. And with gas prices as high as they are, we don't get to go as often as I would like.

Which, in a perfect world, would be every other day.

I have written them requesting a store closer to my house (did you know you can write to Target to request a store?!). They wrote back that it all depends on how many other losers Target addicts write to them requesting a store.

I read other blogs that I stalk visit daily and I am constantly reading about Target.

I feel like Jan Brady. Target. Target. Target.

I know you can shop there online, but their website does not do the store justice, people. It simply does not.

I ask of you one thing. That next time you are wandering down those Target isles, sipping on your Starbucks or munching on your popcorn and soda, finding the cutest stuff at the best prices....think of me. Think of me sitting here thinking when I will be able to go to Target next.

Because chances are it won't be for a very, very long time.

Little Giggles

Oh, how I love baby giggles.

I'm not talking about the hearty belly laughs (although I do love those, too), but the sweet giggles.

The kind that makes my heart melt when I am rocking her to sleep.

The kind that makes everything that has been a little crazy and frazzled suddenly be okay again.

The kind that gives me the giggles and the kind that sometimes causes a missed nap. Or two.

The kind that causes us to both end up laughing hysterically, playing on the floor with silly toys and making things up as we go.

The kind that makes my life complete, happy and whole.

The kind that will eventually lead to this:

A tired, happy, loved little girl....the little girl with the sweetest giggles.

Thank You, Inner Procrastinator, Thank You.

Bella: Hi, Momma!

Momma: Hi, Bella Mella! (Notices smirk on Bella's face. Knows something is up and that this something cannot be good).

Bella: I made you something, Momma!

Momma: (Growing nervous now)Oh, honey, you shouldn't have...

Bella: I know, but I did it because I just love you so much!

Momma: Ohhh...what I've always wanted....a mountain of pretzels on my living room floor. And would you look at that, there's a little hole in the middle of the pile. Thank you, sweetie, thank you. (Drags out the vacuum and thanks her procrastination that she had not vacuumed yet. Does not want to vacuum twice in one day).

Dauphin Island

On Saturday we decided to make a day trip out to Dauphin Island in Alabama.

It was beautiful and very quiet on the beach...hardly anyone was there except for us.

Isabella loved the ocean, the sand, the waves. She laughed and splashed and loved every minute of it!

It decided to rain (okay, thunderstorm) so we had to cut our trip short. We still had a wonderful time and I hope to take my parents there someday.

This is the best picture that I could get. Isn't the web beautiful?

What a Bunch of B.S. (Book Swap)

Okay, I have been trying my hardest to figure out Mr. Linky for my first book swap.

And as you can see I did not get him to work for me.

I have been sitting on here for an hour.

Yes, a whole hour, trying to get him to work for me. And he won't.

*edited to add*

****He worked for me! I am a genius! So #1, this book is for you--but only if you have a book to giveaway, too. List the book, your name and your blog. Don't forget to leave me a comment (you know, so you get the book)...****

So....

I have a book I want to GIVE you. Yes, you heard that right, give you! How can you beat that? The only rules I have are that you pass the book on when you're done and that you have a book now to giveaway. How easy is that?

Wanna know the book?

It's Jennifer Weiner's newest book "Certain Girls". It was a good book. A very, very good book. In a really quick, brief synopsis it is about a mother and daughter and them learning new things about life from one another. I laughed, I cried, I stayed up really late reading it.

Bella got ahold of it, but nothing was ruined, I promise.

You may notice a small bite mark inside the cover...but that's it.

I am giving this book away to my first commenter.

So, there you have it my faithful readers. My first giveaway. My first book given away for the book swap.

Good luck and enjoy it!

Move Over Mommy

Hola! It's me, Isabella.

I have decided that it is MY turn to post. Mommy really needs to learn how to share--she never ever lets me have the laptop. So occasionally I have to sneak around to have a chance to be on here.

Except with Mommy there is no sneaking around. She always-and I mean always-has that flashy thing with her. I think it's called a camera because she says, "Bella, smile for the camera!" a lot.

An example of her being quite sneaky is here:

This was me typing up a post the other day. And she caught me! It was supposed to be a surprise for her, but I am guessing Mommy isn't too big on surprises.

We have a puppy now! She is really nice to me and always gives me kisses. She likes my toys. And my pacifiers. And all of my food I throw to her from my highchair. Except mommy thinks I "accidentally" drop it. Ha! I have her fooled!

Since getting Daisy I have been acting like a puppy, too! I crawl around with things in my mouth. Here is a picture of me doing that the other day. Mommy laughs and says I look like Daisy when I do it. I just think it's fun! And I love getting laughs from Mommy and Daddy.

I wanted to show you a picture of me and my new favorite toy. It's my first American Girl doll! I got her on Christmas from my Mema and Papa. Her name is Molly and there's a story behind this doll. Mommy always wanted a Molly doll. So for Christmas one year Mema and Papa asked Mommy if she would like Molly. Mommy said no, she wanted an electronic keyboard. Ha! Now she never got her Molly doll. So Mema and Papa gave me one for Christmas. Mommy was so excited when she saw I had Molly. I love her! I don't get to play with her unless Mommy is with me because she is very special.

Well, I need to finish my baba now. Mommy is drinking her coffee now. She says coffee is a necessity....is that true? Does she really need it to survive as she puts it? She makes it really strong because she says I am teething and I don't sleep well. I can't help it that teething hurts so bad. It's painful!

I had fun with you today! I'll try to post more often, but it depends if Mommy lets me or not. Happy Thursday!

Let's Get This Party Started!

Wow! Y'all are the best for being interested in the book swap.
I am so excited to get started!
For rules, I am open to all ideas everyone has. I had a few ideas, let me know if you like them, don't like them and PLEASE tell me if you have more ideas. I am open to anything and everything.
Would you all like to create another team blog for our book swap? Or everyone just post on their blog? Or we all designate one person to be the blogger that runs this? I almost like the idea of a team blog. What do you think?
I said earlier that 1st one to comment is the 1st one to get it. Does that seem fair? Does someone have a better idea? Like I said earlier, I am open to any and all suggestions! My mind is a little frazzled--we just rearranged our entire living room including our enormous Turkish entertainment center. (we were stationed there for two years).
Er, sorry, I'm way off subject now *hehe*
So, that's all I have for ideas. I'm really new at this swap thing. Let me know what you have in mind. I can't wait for us to start! I should be done with the book I'm reading by this weekend and then I'll be posting it up for grabs.
Thank you again for your interest in this. Thanks for making my week an awesome week my friends!

There Was Once an Idea...

Last night McMommy posted some answers to some questions she had received from bloggy friends. (Wait, you still haven't gone over to see her? What are you waiting for? Tell her that Chelle sent you, okay?)

When reading her post I discovered she wants to read this new book that I just bought. I told her that when I was done with mine I would gladly send it to her. Then when she's done she can send it to someone else.

Kind of like Pay it Forward.

Kind of like a Book Swap.

She e-mailed me that she would love the book and hey what about a book swap?

It was like deja vu! I'm telling you, I had just started writing a post about a book club or a book swap.

I think the swap would be easier, because let's face it. I doubt we could all chat at the same time about a book that we all had agreed on. Plus it's always hard to pick out one book for eveyone to like.

But with a swap, wow, that would be awesome!!! When you're done with a book, just make a post about it. First one to comment gets it. For free. Then when they're done they make a post and so on.

What do you think? Would this be fun? Would this be able to work? Are you interested?

I'm almost done with a book by Jennifer Weiner right now. It's good. I love it so far. And I would love to share that with whoever will be my first commenter when I post it's available.

Well, that's it. My exciting post! Are you even a little teensy bit excited? Because I'm really excited!

Picture Day

Back from our park adventure

I think she wants to go back to the park

Bella typing up a post for Thursday....are you ready for it?

Those were a few pictures that I took of Isabella yesterday.

I'll blog more later, I'm just a little busy right now (I know you all understand, right?).

My post later is (somewhat) exciting...at least to me it is. Last night after going to McMommy's blog we had an idea. By the way, have you ever been to her blog? It's all sorts of marvelous, funny, exciting stuff. Go and see her, I promise you won't be disappointed.

The Next America's Next Top Model....

I think this picture says it all, don't you?
Tyra Banks, if you are reading this...keep this Little Momma in the files. In 18 years I know she'll be America's Next Top Model.

Random Ramblings

mHappy Monday! Today is going to be just some ramblings of what's going on down here in Southern Mississippi.
1) I received some AMAZING news from a dear friend of mine. She's pregnant! They've been waiting a long time for this moment, lots of heartache and sadness....but it was worth it my friends. I am so happy for her. I am going to mail her some baby books and maybe make her something cute for the baby's room. Congratulations, Liz and Roberto!!!

2) We went to Barnes and Noble today. Oh, did we have some fun! I bought the new Sophie Kinsella book and a magazine (Real Simple), 2 books for Isabella, 2 books for my step-daughter, and a magazine for Leo. We had a lot of fun there and it was hard picking out just 2 books for Isabella. After seeing Amanda praise author Sandra Boynton I decided on 2 of her books. I had never bought any of her books before and let me tell you, they are great! Isabella loves the 2 I got: Belly Button Book and Snuggle Puppy. The colors are bright and the stories are cute! I am sure they will get read LOTS by this momma and her little girl.

3) I have decided due to the overwhelming response I received about the pixie cut to....go for it!! I am now looking for some different looks. I may just run and get a couple of magazines at Wal-Mart to see if there is anything that just pops out and says, "Here I am, Michelle! I am YOUR new haircut!" Wish me luck on that one, okay? And don't worry, I'll post a before and after for you.

4) Leo and I are starting to pick out colors for our painting project. We are planning on painting once it cools down (ha! That really means in November) and I am loving all of the beautiful colors out there. They are gorgeous.

5) And my last rambling for today? Bella is now saying "tickle". It is adorable! She just woke up and said it over and over today. Ah, I love my little girl!

That's really all that's going on here. Hope today is treating you all well!

Darkness

For the past few weeks there has been something quite magnificent in our front yard. Typically things of this sort will give me the chills, make me run and hide and just plain scare me.

But for some reason this one does not.

It is a work of art. A beautiful site. It makes me imagine all of the hard work this creature has instilled into it's creation.

Every night I can go out onto my front porch and stand still in the darkness.

And I see it.

The most beautiful spiderweb I have ever seen. The spider is waiting patiently on the web. And each night the web manages to make all of us go outside and marvel at this work of art.

It reminds me of Charlotte's Web. I can say that the original movie and the book are my one of my favorite children's story ever. So much so I cannot wait to get them for Isabella when she is old enough to understand the movie.

Maybe that is why I am fascinated with our spider. I think I will name her Charlotte. To me she has somehow taken me back to my youth.

Even if it is only for a few mere moments each night.

Just Us Girls

Tonight Leo took his daughter (not Isabella-but my step daughter who is staying for the summer) to go and see the new Batman movie.

Which left Isabella and I to stay at home and have a girls' night. We have had sooo much fun, too!

We watched the movie "Definitely, Maybe" which was great.

Okay, I watched it because Isabella took a nap. Silly me thought she was out for the night. Boy the joke was on me wasn't it? Considering it is quite late. And she is still playing like nobody has ever played before.

Back to the movie. If you like chick flicks I am almost positive you'll like this movie. It was so cute and Ryan Reynolds did a great job in it. I got a little teary eyed at the end. *sigh* How I love a romantic comedy. But that's all I'm sayin'. I don't want to spoil the movie for anyone who wants to watch it.

What else have we done on this Saturday night girls' only night do you ask?

I have put fresh sheets on my bed. I put away some clothes. I washed some bottles that needed washing. Threw some more clothes in the wash. Played with the dog. Played with the cat. Played with Isabella. Made Isabella laugh. Sang with Isabella. Danced with Isabella. And wrote this blog.

Girls' nights sure have changed for me in the past year.

But ya know what? This was the best girls' night ever. I wouldn't trade it for the world.

Decisions, Decisions

Recently I decided to dye my hair. A dark chocolate brown. I usually am a blonde with the works--aka highlights, lowlights and everything in between. But for some reason or another I got in the mood to become a brunette.

Why?

Who knows. I like experimenting with my hair, seeing if I've been missing out on anything fun or interesting. Or just to realize, hey, I've been doing the right thing all along.

Now that I am a brunette (and getting more used to it by the way) I am pondering if I should chop off my hair. I am feeling something short. Really short.

I haven't had this type of haircut since the first grade.

Quick story on that one. My mom took me to JC Penney's to get a haircut. She thought a pixie cut would look adorable on me. Of course being so little I had no clue of the disaster that would soon follow. (Which reminds me, remind me some time to tell you the story of when I got "The Rachel" haircut. OMG, it was TRAUMATIC!)

After they were done I was in shock....I looked like a little boy! With a short haircut! Mind you this is '84-'85 before pixies were done stylishly and cute. My mom still declares to this day that it was adorable, I looked so cute, etc. I beg to differ.

I have my first grade photo as proof.

So after that haircut gone wrong my mom asked me (we were still in the mall) if I would like to get my ears pierced.

Oh, would I! So we trot over to Claire's boutique and am so happy that I won't look like a little boy anymore. Except everyone failed miserably to tell me how BAD it hurt to get my ears pierced!

So now I was crying from pain and the boy-cut. Lovely.

Back to the point of my post--oh--and Mom, now that I am older I can appreciate a cute haircut. But when I was 6 years old and all of my friends have long, pretty hair and I show up and everyone calls me a boy, well, that just was no fun. Kids can be so cruel! Hence why I am seriously considering homeschooling Isabella--but that's a whole post in itself.

Anyway, I am now considering the pixie. I want some simple, cute and easy to style. I read somewhere that if you like how you look with a ponytail then you will probably like a shorter haircut, aka a pixie. I LOVE me some ponytails! Seriously, I almost always end up pulling up my hair. Always.

I'll let you know what I decide. I am just so torn. Any input that I get will be taken seriously into consideration. I'm off to look for some cute cuts now...

Happy Feet

How cute is Bella clapping her cute baby feet?!

Dear Chili's

Dear Chili's,

On a typical nite when we pile into our Jeep to go and eat at your establishment I am excited. Last nite was no exception. It was our anniversary and after much thought we decided that you would be THE restaurant of choice.

Plus your Presidente Margaritas are great.

But back to the point. When we got seated we received no menus. That was fine until we sat. And sat. And sat. Finally our waitress came over to take our drink order. She noticed there were no menus. After promising to bring menus, she failed to bring them.

Soon a manager walking through saw that we had nothing. He promised to bring the menus. Well, he sent the host to "drop" off our menus. Not only did we get menus, silverware and some crayons, but we got a nice dose of attitude.

Wow, who knew getting a menu would be so traumatic for the host?

After getting our drinks we sat for awhile longer. Long enough for our daughter to throw stuff on the floor, have mini meltdowns and be done with her snack. For her to be done with a snack is next to impossible--she's RARELY done with a snack.

Ya took that long.

Fast forward to meal time. I cut my sandwich in half. When I pick up the 2nd half it feels odd. I turn my sandwich over to investigate. I have no 2nd half of a bun.

The nite just keeps getting better.

After requesting my missing bun plus a glass of water, I get the bun. But no water.

After ordering dessert and a glass of water, I get the dessert. But no water.

While waiting for my water (which was apparently MIA) we began to eat our favorite dessert. Too bad we couldn't cut through most of the cookie. Seems like that, too, was not right.

Thanks for the extended two hour stay. Although I am sad to admit, it wasn't a good one.

Signed,
One tired, thirsty customer

4 Years Ago Today

Dear Leo,

Four years ago today I was getting my hair done for our wedding. I was sitting in the chair with butterflies and happiness flowing through me. I was imagining our life together as husband and wife, the good times and the hard times that may be thrown our way.

You have been the best husband a woman could have. You are my best friend, the father of our child and most importantly we are happy and in love. I love how you make my coffee for me on a Saturday morning. I love watching you play with Isabella. I love how if I've had a hard day/week you let me just sit alone and read (or sleep). I love how you give me kisses in the morning before you leave and how you will get me little gifts when you have to go run an errand.

I love you for who you are, for who you have become and for who you will be. You are amazing my love. Happy 4th Anniversary.

Love,
Your Wife

Adios, Papa!

I am still in shock. Leo is still in shock.

And Isabella is probably still in shock.

This all started a few nights ago. We were having a not-so-hot day and we all really needed a laugh, a smile or just some stress free time.

We were in our bedroom, Bella had just finished with her bath, her bedtime lotion was put on and her jammies were snapped shut. I was being silly, she was laughing at me and Daddy was laughing at us.

She and I turned to go prepare her final bottle for the evening.

Momma: Isabella, can you tell Daddy bye-bye?

Isabella: Bye-bye

Momma and Daddy: Oh my gosh!!! She said bye-bye!!

Isabella: laughing and kicking her legs...so proud of what she has accomplished...

I am so proud of her and cannot believe she has started to talk. *sigh*

It's true what everyone has told me. They sure do grow up quick.

In the Mood for a Vintage Pic?

Well, you may not consider this to be vintage, but I sure do!

Go on over and see my sister to see my adorable little girl in her swing.

This picture cracks me up!

I Would Like to Thank...

Today has been QUITE the fantastic bloggy day for me over here in Bloggy-Land.

Why do you ask? Let me tell you....

First I entered a contest over at One Vashey Life to Live.

And you know what?! I won!! I won my first blog prize, y'all!

Can you tell how happy I am? I am super happy. Go over and check out the great handmade stuff over there...too cute and she has her own Etsy shop, too.

Keep your eyes open in the future for a Creative Momma contest. I haven't decided between hairbows or handmade cards, though.

On to my NEXT piece of fantastic, amazing news!

Have you read
Kristen's blog over at Loving Our Simple Life? She takes AMAZING pictures and when she writes...well, it's pretty great to read. She is one of those writers that just captures your attention. I am addicted to her blog and it is a must read for me daily.

She gave me this award:

Isn't it nice? For those who don't know, my husband is in the US Air Force. He has been proudly serving our country for over 11 years. I used to be in the Air Force, but I got out one year ago to become a stay at home mom to my wonderful baby girl. Thank you, Leo, for serving this great country of ours. Because of you I know my country is in the best hands that it can be.

Now I would like to pass this award on to another deserving military wife.

Andrea, this award I am passing on to you. You deserve it!

If there are any other military mommas or military members that I did not mention, feel free to take this award! It is for those of you who sacrifice so much.

Bella's Pancakes

Here is my adorable baby girl eating some yummy homemade blueberry pancakes. Can you tell she loved them?

You Can Take it Back Now...

It's happened.

Here is how the end of my youth officially ended.

Me: You couldn't have possibly found that on my head...

Leo: (laughing)

Me: Stop playing around, Leo!

Leo: (still laughing)

Me: OUCH!!

Leo: See? I told you that you had a white hair! *Dangles hair in front of my face*

So that, my friends, is how this 29 year old realized she was no longer a lucky 29 year old who only highlighted her hair for pleasure.

It has now become a full-time job to keep those suckers hidden.

Our little bundle of energy....

Here she is, Miss Daisy. The puppy with endless energy. The puppy who Bella thinks is hilarious. Enjoy!

PS--Bella is doing much better (as am I). She got put on Zyrtec and if she is still congested in 2 weeks she goes back to the Ped. They did bloodwork to test for eczema as well. I am doing better, too--yay! A little cough but that's it. Thank you for all of your kind thoughts and well wishes!

Nothin' says love like a late night snack....

Last night we were watching Baby Borrowers on WE and decided we needed to have a little snack. We brought in the package of Oreos (YUM) and got back to the show.

Except we forgot to give someone an Oreo.

And that person would be Isabella.

That's when I decided that, hey! It's okay if she just nibbles on one....

Not your conventional bathtime...

Last night I was giving Miss Bella her bath. As she was playing with her toys Daisy comes running in to see what we were doing.

Have I mentioned that I am amazed at this puppy's amount of energy? I wish there was a way to sell that in a bottle.

Back to my story, Daisy was jumping up to see Miss Bella. Bella was in our bath which is one of those really big garden tubs that can be filled up pretty high. I picked up Daisy so she could see that Bella was taking her bath. Daisy jumped down and then promptly wanted to be picked up again. I set her on the ledge to watch Bella.

And then she jumped in. Into the bath. With Isabella.

The look on Miss Bella's face was priceless. Daisy just stood there and decided she would just drink some water. I scooped Bella out and then Leo came in and saw what was going on.

He didn't find it as funny as I did. But at least Daisy got her bath out of the way, right?

Aw, Man!

I realize my posts this week haven't been my typical kind of posts. And this one is going to be another one....

I'm sick. Coughing, stuffy nose, low fever. Basically, in one word, miserable. And the greatest point? There are no appointments on base for a week! I told her no thank you, I will keep trying every morning to see if there were any cancellations.

She told me good luck with that. Gotta love those sarcastic comments when you're not feeling so hot.

I'm going to go and take my cough medicine and something for this nose of mine. Hopefully I'll be feeling better soon--I miss you guys! Plus being sick in the summer is the worst--summertime should be fun time!

Off to do some shopping, but don't worry, I'll be back to post later. I am just so ecstatic about my new blog!!

Some May Say I'm Sleep Deprived...

I just woke up.

From a three hour nap. Yes, you read that right. Three hours. I have no idea why....maybe this will explain it?

A 7 hour trip yesterday turned into a 9 1/2 hour car ride. Thanks to some major traffic delay on I-10. So bad we were all outside of our cars trying to save gas. Yep, we were walking on an interstate.

Due to one very happy cat to see us she woke us up at 6 a.m. After we went to bed after 1:30 a.m. Leo has now threatened to lock her out of our room. Either that or have me sleep on the couch with her. Yikes!

Or maybe I am still tired when Isabella decided this past Friday (the day before my sis-in-law's wedding) to stay up and scream for two hours. I got four lovely hours of sleep that night.

Whatever the reason I feel MUCH better now that I took that nap! I am back to my happy, fun self again---no more of the Michelle zombie. That's never fun.

Daisy Dazed

So, you know how we got a cocker spaniel puppy named Daisy, right? (Once we charge up our camera again I'll be taking lots of pictures).

She's a cute, fun loving, carefree, rambuctious little thing.

Have I mentioned a handful? Because she is! I feel like I have a toddler running around here!

Anyway, today we all went to Wal-Mart for some things that we needed. We put Daisy in her crate--which is all cloth with mesh little doggie windows and a mesh zipper door. Off we went for a quick trip not even thinking twice about putting her in there to run a quick errand.
Imagine my surprise when we returned and a tan furball came running up to me like a little tornado! SHE ESCAPED!!!! FROM HER CRATE!! She somehow figured out how to unzip the crate and have a blast while we were away. A few of Bella's toys were in the living room and she had an accident on the floor, but no real damage. (Thank goodness!)

I have a feeling we have one smart puppy on our hands.

On the Road Again

Hey, y'all! Guess what...we are leaving to go back home on Monday! I can't wait to sleep in my own bed and lay on my couch again--wait--not that that is all I do at home, but I'm just sayin'...

There's no place like home. We had a nice time, but I need to get my little girl 100% better and back on her schedule. We're taking her to her Ped on Tuesday, she doesn't have a fever anymore, but she's still coughing and her poor little nose is like a faucet. I am beginning to think she has some mean 'ol allergies that won't leave her little body alone. Hopefully she will get something for that and this vicous bronchitis/double ear infection saga will end. For good.

I'll be posting some pics this week. I've missed y'all and can't wait to go read your blogs---I've been MIA for a few days and I know I need to write some of you back.

Missed y'all and next time I log on I'll be back in Southern Mississippi (By the way...every time that I spell Mississippi I say that elementary type spelling in my head. Does anyone else do that, too?).

Will She Ever Catch a Break?

Isabella is sick. Still. She has now been sick for over 3 weeks. It's still the bronchitis and double ear infection. She got put on Amoxicilin again, but this time 3 times/day. The urgent care doctor told us she needs to see her ped on Tuesday (we get home on Monday). They will be talking to us about getting tubes placed in her ears as well. Please send any prayers that you can so she will get well soon. I am worried that she has been sick for so long!

The pics above are of her having a vapor bath tonite. She looks so happy and I think that was some of the most fun that she had all day. I just love those little teefers!
