In a Funk

Lately I have been at a loss on what to write.

I have been sitting at blank blog posts everyday now.

What is wrong with me?

I have rarely encountered writer's block.

My entire life.

I always have a story to tell.

A joke to crack.

But lately?

Nothing.

Is my life truly so boring and lame that I cannot think of a single post?

I don't think it is, but obviously something is going on.

I am under a little a lot of stress.

Birthday parties.

Husband and daughter were sick (thankfully both are fully recovered. Yay!).

Holidays.

TDY (which is a fancy word for business trip in the military world).

Leo has told me that this weekend I must go and do some things for me.

But anytime I have a slight chance I back down.

I think it's because sometimes I may feel guilty.

Being on one income has totally changed our lifestyles.

Complete turnaround.

So much so I have pondered about getting a job.

But that's another post in it's own.

But maybe, just maybe, I will go and get a pedi. Get my haircut. Drive to Mobile and go shopping (me to Target: "Hello, lover!").

So I apologize for the blah posts.

Lack of pictures.

Lack of everything.

Maybe this week this block will pass and be gone for quite awhile.

I'm right there with you. I've been feeling exactly the same way. The only difference is that I have a job already...just not enough income.

I love your posts, and I'm sorry you're feeling in a funk. I know what you mean about lifestyle changes - it can be stressful and make you feel guilty at times.

However, if Leo is telling you that it's time to go do something for you, then do it! Even if it's just to go to the local bookstore and have a fun coffee drink while you browse around.

Although, a pedi, haircut and trip to Target (LOL at Hello, Lover - see you did crack a joke!) sound just perfect to me!

Cheer up - we've all been there! At least I know I am on a regular basis!

One thing: When you were listing out all of the stress you have been having lately you forgot to mention the fact that just one week ago you had to be EVACUATED because of a hurricaine and you were fearing possibly losing everything! Minor detail that has probably had a huge impact on how you are feeling. Hang in there sis! And go do something for yourself you know that you totally deserve it!

Love,
Kristi

We all have those days/moments/weeks. They pass.

I say take hubby up on some you time. You need it. You deserve it. And, you are a better mother for it!

I know how you feel! I have not done any post:( Just know that other people are right there with you.

Yep, I agree with Cheech. Evacuating and then having Bella and Leo come down sick; getting them well and all just in time to start watching Ike's projected path. Definite stress. Yuck.

We love you and you don't have to entertain us!

I am so wanting a job. Imagine my complete disappointment when Starbucks informed me that they aren't hiring until November. UGH.
For writer's block, go over to Mama's Losin' It. On Wednesday she gives writing assignments...it's FUN!

Hey there. Blahs are so blah. I hope you do go ahead and do something for yourself. It doesn't always have to involve money. Sometimes my best days are a coffee, hanging out at the bookstore looking at art books and magazines, and maybe spending .50 at Goodwill. It's also fun, to get a Sonic drink and drive down a road I've never been on or through a neighborhood I've never seen. Anyway, hope it passes soon!

Amanda is right. It is worth the little bit of guilt you will feel driving out the driveway. After that you will LOVE your self for doing it. :)

Don't feel bad about nothing Fabuloso. As long as you aren't telling us creepy guys are back, I am good to go! :0

I feel like this a lot too lately! Blogger block.

Can I just say how awesome you are for saying "Hello lover" to Target! That made me laugh out loud! I just watched the Sex and the City movie again last night.. I can not get enough! (my husband downloaded it for me:))

I get this a lot too. We blogger put too much pressure on ourselves! I'm glad you're liking the photography series! Sorry it took me so long to get over here. Love the book swap idea! I'll be linking you too. :)

Keep smiling. I think it is the best idea to go and do something for you. Every time I start feeling overwhelmed with the kids or what not, I need to take some time and just sit at Starbucks where I can have my favorite drink and just chill. We are all here for you!
