Macy & Madelyn--A Photo Shoot

I should have titled this more appropriately--perhaps well, it was supposed be a top secret photo shoot while Isabella was napping....but with a 3 month old puppy and an *almost* 11 month old baby...

Well, you get the picture.

Enjoy the cute fest below...ohmygoodness--they seriously melted my heart today...

Since When Did Packing Become SO Hard?!

I remember the days of carefree packing. A few clothes in the suitcase, toss in my toiletries and BAM on the road.

Yeah...not so much anymore. Packing is now so detail oriented. Planning for at least a week. Calculating possible scenarios for what may or may not occur.

And the lists...oh, the amount of lists. It's seriously insane. Especially when I forget said lists at home on our way out to do a major shopping trip....although it really doesn't surprise me that I forgot the lists, hehe!

But now the packing is complete. The car is packed. The cat is dropped off at a friends home. The last load of laundry is in the dryer. One baby is asleep. The other is still awake obviously running on the excitement and thrill of preparing for such a big trip.

I will be back the following week to you all...and guess what? I have my first guest posters for while I am away! I am thrilled!! I love the girls posting. You will love them, too, if you don't already--they are sweet, funny, smart...basically they're awesome.

Until I am back home--with Macy--oh...AND when I return I'll be 31 {my birthday is Flag Day--best holiday e-v-e-r}! And for the record I am loving my 30's--MUCH better than my 20's were in the beginning, that is for sure.

Love y'all! I will miss each and every single one of you--have a fab week and enjoy the awesome posts lined up. xoxo

The One Where You May Say I'm a Little Bit Crazy...

Do you remember when I wrote a post and I had a picture of a puppy? To be more specific it was of a group of puppies...golden retriever puppies if I may.

Fast forward a few weeks. I've been begging my heart out discussing with Leo about getting a puppy. We've talked and talked and talked.

Maybe it has been me talking to him and trying to warm him up on the idea of having a family dog. He wants one...but wanted to wait another couple of months. Hm. I really don't like waiting. Remember--I told you I'm having baby fever with Madelyn's 1st Birthday rapidly approaching...it's awful! Do you get baby fever?? I did the same thing when Isabella turned 1...

And now look...Madelyn is here with us!

I rest my case about the baby fever.

Fast forward to yesterday. It had been a typical Monday. Which means that tantrums were in full force, I felt like my cold was coming back and I had a fever. Not fun.

Leo walked in and sat down in our living room. He asked me to put down the laptop. I told asked him to hold on just one more second. He insisted that I put it down--that this was important...so I sat it down.

He's grinning ear to ear--I love seeing him happy! And then?

He told me that we could get Macy. The golden retriever puppy that I have been wanting. The golden retriever puppy that I know belongs with my family. We pick her up on the 19th on our way home from Tennessee and I am SO excited! Isabella has been jumping up and down saying "Macy! Macy! Macy!"--to say she is excited is an understatement...

So here is our newest family member, Macy. Almost 11 weeks old and the cutest little furball ever!
