A Couple of Crafty Things....

Her blog is so inspirational that I had to try out the frame tutorial that she gave!

Here are the two that I've done so far. I need to finish the other cream/red frame. I'm either going to put them in the guest bathroom or in our kitchen--I haven't decided yet.

The other one is for Isabella's room. I think I'm going to put a picture of her and Madelyn in it after Miss Madelyn arrives. So cute!

Don't Worry, Martha, I'm Not Stealing Your Job....

On Sunday I decided I was going to channel my inner Martha Stewart and finish some craft projects. I made a few hairbows for Isabella (I need to take some pics--I love how they turned out!) and I put the finishing touches on a canvas letter "i" that I had painted for my girl.

Things were going great...rolling along....and then disaster.

I was hot gluing--and let me tell you this stuff was no joke. I'm honestly surprised it wasn't boiling out of the gun--some ribbon on the border of the canvas.

And then it happened.

I hot glued my finger!!! I have no idea how....one minute I was a crafting fool and the next? I was a screaming mess.

Holy crap. It. was. painful!!

As I was trying to get it off of my finger I didn't realize just how much glue was actually on my finger.

And when I pulled? I managed to take off some skin.

Lovely. I think I'll lay off the crafts for awhile...no wonder I hadn't done any for so long....
