Randoms...

*Bachelorette. Why is she so hung up on Bentley? Seriously? The guy treated her like crap...and she keeps. talking. about. him. I wish she could see what we all saw and then, maybe, she would stop going on about him...

*I finally found a girl who did my hair amazingly well. Problem? She no longer works at my salon. Soooo....I saw a new girl. Who totally turned me into a brunette. And cut off a lot of length. Not what I had hoped for when I went in telling her I wanted honey/caramel hues and a trim. *sigh* Now to find a new stylist and wait out the next few weeks rockin' out my hair as if I loved it.

*I'm in the market for some new makeup and would like to stay on a budget. I had been going to Ulta and splurging on my foundation & powder (used Bare Minerals...not the biggest fan...), but now I would like to go to Target/Wal-Mart and buy something amazing for a fraction of the price. What's your favorite face makeup?

*I finally watched Black Swan. And I loved it. It was dark, amazing, and made me sit and watch it without being online. It was that good. It's one of those movies where you'll love it or hate it. I? Loved it.

*Brynlie totally just laughed in her baby sleep. Holy adorableness I love her so much! She will be one month on Tuesday. Oh my word does time fly or what?

*I have an obsession lately with nail polish. Lately I've been in love with all of Essie's amazing colors--seriously, they make me want to give myself a new pedi every other day. Definitely recommend a new nail color to boost your mood! If you need suggestions let me know and I'll give you my favorite shades that I've been crushing on this summer.

*The husband bought me a Nook Color back in early May. I LOVE it. I always swore off any e-reader, but am so happy I have one! I'm trying to finish all of my paperbacks so I can buy more e-books. I'm hooked and am so happy that Leo bought me one for Mother's Day.

*Need to start working out again (besides mowing which I do once a week--and love for that matter). I have a postpartum boot camp DVD...and I'm interested in a Zumba workout that I can do from home. I wonder if Wii makes one? Or maybe I'll just be better off with a DVD? Thoughts?

Movie Monday: The Blind Side

Movie Monday @ Messy Mommy

It's another Monday which means it's time for Movie Monday with Messy Mommy! My movie this week is a movie that I had been dying to see...and it finally got sent to us via Netflix. I ripped open the package to see what had arrived and squealed with happiness--I finally got the opportunity to watch The Blind Side!

This movie was nothing short of spectacular. It's basically about a boy in high school who has nothing. No family, nowhere to live, nothing to look forward to. He gets noticed by a family one nite and they have him stay at their home. What started out as one simple and random act of kindness turns out to be much, much more.

I admit I cried during random parts...but that's typical Chelle for ya. This movie made me stop and think about just how blessed that I am with my life...I loved this movie--two HUGE thumbs up from both Leo and me. It's definitely one that I would love to buy and add to our collection of movies.

Have a movie that you watched this week? Go and link up with Messy Mommy--and you also get to check out what everyone else watched, too.

The Lovely Bones: Movie Monday

Movie Monday @ Messy Mommy

I can't tell y'all enough--I love movies--my family loves movies...it's just something that we can do together if it's raining outside and I've exhausted all other resources of entertainment.

And I love how The Messy Mommy has Movie Monday--I get to let my readers in on great or crappy movies and then? I get to read about the ones you watched and I have more to add to my Netflix Queue!

This past Saturday we had some bad storms here in Mississippi--so Leo and I decided that we would turn on The Lovely Bones...which happened to be our latest Netflix pick.

I had read the book years ago {and let someone borrow it...and of course never go it back...}. Anyway, I remember reading the book and loving it. I loved how it was written and how it was told through her eyes even though she was no longer alive.

Being a Mom and watching it now made me see it through a whole new set of eyes. I couldn't imagine having to live through what this family did--I mean to lose a child is my worst fear...and the way it happened to Susie was just horrifying.

I loved this movie and was wish that I still had my copy of the book {it's by Alice Sebold in case you are wondering--I highly recommend it!} so I could read to see how accurate the movie was. I'm a little thankful that it was years ago that I read the book...I tend to be overly critical and not typically like movies after they were books. {Don't get me started on P.S. I Love You and The Shopaholic series. Ugh!}.

Have you seen this movie? Read the book tell me what you thought. And if you haven't--I definitely recommend them both.

This or That? Tuesday Time--Movie Edition

Wow--this past week has flown by! When I realized that today was Monday and tomorrow is Tuesday {I know, I know, I'm that smart.} I had to kick it into high gear for This or That? Tuesday.

For any newbies--grab the button below and answer the post on your blog. Then simply come back and link up. Easy AND fun!

The Winey Mommy

This week's question: Do you prefer to watch movies at home or at the theater?

I am a theater girl for sure! Don't get me wrong, I love watching movies at home, but unfortunately that's the only place that I watch them now with us having the girls {Go Netflix!}. There's something about movie theaters that take me back to when I was carefree, responsibility free. I love the popcorn, the sodas, the darkness of the theater--basically if I am lucky enough to go and watch a movie now it takes me away from everything for those couple of hours. Love it. Even though the prices are crazy, the floors are sticky and I'm usually freezing by the time the movie is over I love it. That's what I call true love...
