The One With Books, Shredding and a Princess

* I think having a 3rd baby has zapped my blogging mojo. Seriously. I have no clue what to write. Until I get more substantial material I may stick with gobs of pictures of my babies. Because that's how I roll.

* I just finished Summer Rental. It was a delicious, fun read. Yes, I just called it delicious. I wanted more and more and more...can't wait for her next book!

* I am now reading Jaycee Dugard's book. It's a heart wrenching read so far, but I can't put it down. Just to read everything that she went through and how she survived it all just makes me admire her for her strength. Have you read her book? Thoughts?

* Brynlie and Madelyn have well baby check ups PLUS shots for both. Fun times and I'm pretty sure I'll be packing Dum Dums for Madelyn and have Brynlie's milk bar ready for her. Not a huge fan of shot day--especially since TWO of my girls will be on the receiving end.

* Did two weeks of the post baby boot camp DVD. I have now moved onto Jillian and her excruciating 30 Day Shred. Holy sore muscles! I love it so far. I've lost (well, depending on the day) 5 pounds. I'm sure it has to do with my eating. Doing better, just not great. But hey-I feel better and for now that's what counts.

* I have a new favorite summer drink. Friends meet Skinnygirl. It's summer in a glass. It makes me want to invite y'all over to have some with me. Go now and buy some-I know you'll thank me so let me just say you're welcome.

* Bachelor Pad starts Monday night. Three awesome hours of Bachelor and Bachelorette castoffs all living amongst one another. I think I'll break out the Skinnygirl for Monday!

* I'm addicted to HGTV once again. Poor husband has to listen to me and my big dreams for our home. I've started him in the right direction--I can't wait to do some of our bigger projects. Lots of pictures and posts to come.

* How's your week? Are you going to BlogHer? Or are you like me and a little a lot jealous that you aren't going? Sometimes I want to go, but I'd miss my little family way too much right now. Maybe sometime down the road. Maybe not. We'll see.

* And here's the cutest princess ever wishing you all a fabulous end of your week!

Randoms...

*Bachelorette. Why is she so hung up on Bentley? Seriously? The guy treated her like crap...and she keeps. talking. about. him. I wish she could see what we all saw and then, maybe, she would stop going on about him...

*I finally found a girl who did my hair amazingly well. Problem? She no longer works at my salon. Soooo....I saw a new girl. Who totally turned me into a brunette. And cut off a lot of length. Not what I had hoped for when I went in telling her I wanted honey/caramel hues and a trim. *sigh* Now to find a new stylist and wait out the next few weeks rockin' out my hair as if I loved it.

*I'm in the market for some new makeup and would like to stay on a budget. I had been going to Ulta and splurging on my foundation & powder (used Bare Minerals...not the biggest fan...), but now I would like to go to Target/Wal-Mart and buy something amazing for a fraction of the price. What's your favorite face makeup?

*I finally watched Black Swan. And I loved it. It was dark, amazing, and made me sit and watch it without being online. It was that good. It's one of those movies where you'll love it or hate it. I? Loved it.

*Brynlie totally just laughed in her baby sleep. Holy adorableness I love her so much! She will be one month on Tuesday. Oh my word does time fly or what?

*I have an obsession lately with nail polish. Lately I've been in love with all of Essie's amazing colors--seriously, they make me want to give myself a new pedi every other day. Definitely recommend a new nail color to boost your mood! If you need suggestions let me know and I'll give you my favorite shades that I've been crushing on this summer.

*The husband bought me a Nook Color back in early May. I LOVE it. I always swore off any e-reader, but am so happy I have one! I'm trying to finish all of my paperbacks so I can buy more e-books. I'm hooked and am so happy that Leo bought me one for Mother's Day.

*Need to start working out again (besides mowing which I do once a week--and love for that matter). I have a postpartum boot camp DVD...and I'm interested in a Zumba workout that I can do from home. I wonder if Wii makes one? Or maybe I'll just be better off with a DVD? Thoughts?

Thank God it's Thursday...Wait, Is Today Thursday?!

I feel like I am in a zombie like trance right now. It has been a, well, let me just say that this week was full of adventures. Not all good, not all bad--but still, for our first week alone it has been a little on the hectic side.

Since I am such a big fan of all thing bulletized, let me break down my week for you:

  • Maddie is now a walker 80% of the time. Holy cow...my baby is walking?!
  • Maddie also caught some nasty cold complete with runny nose, cough, fever. Good times.
  • Said cold got passed onto Isabella. More good times.
  • Macy, our puppy/giant dog, chewed up my laptop cord.
  • Spent an extra $200 yesterday for new laptop cord and a huge dog crate. Even more good times.
  • Maddie slammed her finger in a drawer. My poor babe!
  • Isabella ran away from me at Wal-Mart enforcing me to play an oh-so-lovely game of get your butt over here now...is this really my life now?
  • Lost a few pounds
  • Made a loaf of banana bread
  • Made a pot of tortilla soup
  • Haven't had a second to read a blog or really write any blog posts that were personal
  • Got my new laptop cord home from Best Buy only to find that the cord was frayed which meant yet another trip to Best Buy. With both girls in tow. Thankfully they behaved...
  • Maddie woke me up yesterday morning covered in puke. Two baths and shampoos later she still smells slightly throw up like.
  • I didn't win the photo contest. Looks like I'll be doing cute pictures for Leo from us girls--that's okay, though, because I love doing photos of my girls.

I am sure there  are things that are missing from that list...but as an end note to this list of a post, I am exhausted. Tired. And so ready for us girls to get in our groove alone. We miss Leo SO much--and I'm happy that after much traveling he is settled into his new "home" and has already started work.

Love y'all...and I hope to get in some post reading soon...I am having withdrawals!

And I'm Outta Here...Randoms for the Road...

~I'm leaving on a jet plane tomorrow early in the a.m for Indiana...it's my first time away from both girls & under the circumstances I'm a little anxious right now {how happy am I that I went back to my old dosage of Effexor?!}. I can't wait to see my Dad at the airport and the rest of my family. I need them right now...

~Thank you SO much for your sweet words, prayers, thoughts. You have no idea how much it's meant to me in the past 23 hours. Have I told you how much I love you? I do--so, so much!

~Pretty sure I didn't sleep at all last nite. Tossed. Turned. Cried. Prayed. Talked to my Grandpa {do any of you do that? Talk to loved ones who have passed away?}. Then Bellie came to my room--and she tossed. And turned. *sigh* Hoping I sleep better tonite.

~I was at Kohl's for hours today trying to find outfits for the visitation and funeral. It was weird, but each time that I tried something on? I didn't feel like it was good enough for my Grandpa. Weird and stupid I know, but I just wanted the perfect outfits. Finally bought a couple of really pretty dresses...

~Tonite I was doing some photo editing of pictures with my Grandpa in them. I left Photoshop open while I was feeding Maddie--it had a picture of my Grandpa {Bellie called him Poppy} and she automatically came over and told me "Poppy! Mommy, it's Poppy. Poppy's sick, Mommy. Poppy sick." I tried my best to explain that Poppy wasn't sick anymore and that he is our angel in heaven watching over us now. She looked up at me and said "Feffen? Feffen, Mommy?". It took all I had to not start crying...instead I smiled and told her yes...Poppy? Is definitely in feffen.

~My amazing and super sweet friend brought us a homemade dinner tonite--she's amazing. I've hardly thought about food since everything has happened, so this? Was the sweetest and most caring act of kindness ever. She also brought over pasta and different sauces that would be easy for Leo to cook for him and the girls while I am away. Isn't she amazing?

~We had to turn our ac on tonite--it was 80 degrees in our house. At 8:30 at nite. With all of the windows and fans on. Insane, right? Barely into April and I was sweating like a....well, I was just hot.

~I'll be back on Saturday. I'll miss y'all--and can't wait to catch up once I return home. Thank you again for everything--I have the most amazing family and friends ever! <3

Call Me the Randoms Whore...

*I totally just felt dirty writing the word whore in my post title...

*So you all know that I'm trying to lose fat. I'm overweight. Ew. I've never been overweight in my life. Like ever. But anyway, back to my point. Last week I started measuring my foods. Cutting out chocolates, cookies, and more useless crap.  I have lost...wait for it...2 LBS!! Now to none a few of you this may not mean a lot...but to me?! I've finally started losing weight again. Yay!

*Call me a nerd but I totally want a new oven and microwave for above it. Our home came with the basic white appliances. I no longer like--scratch that--I've never liked them...and now? I am hunting for new ones. The only problem is getting the husband on board. I may need to work on this plan a little...

*This cold weather is for the birds. I'm over it already and praying for a warm up soon...

*There are a few blogs that I've been having a blog crush on for awhile. You can check them out here, here, and here.  These girls can blog and they do it good. Hope you puffy heart them as much as I do...

*Getting my hair done this weekend--super excitement going on over here, friends. I'm thinking some long bangs. Not short ones. And I think I'm going to go lighter...which of course will be reason for me to hit up Ulta afterwards. And since Ulta is next door to Target, might as well go there as well.

*I realize the whole Ulta/Target thing has nothing to do with hair...but in my eyes it totally does. Especially if I will be alone. Wow.

*Remember my whole face crisis? What? You don't? Read that and come back.

*Because it is GONE. The meds worked. I swear I heard music the last day of taking my pills. After {2} months my face is gorgeous {haha!} once again.

*I took another pic of Madelyn today. Which will totally be used for Wednesday. I realize you may be going through some Isabella withdrawals. However, all pics I take of her? Are either a) mid-tantrum b) running away from me c) bangsthatimgrowingoutforher are in her eyes and d) mid-tantrum. I will attempt some more. Thinking a mid-tantrum one would be fun...{I kid...sort of...}

*And lastly...I have some Amazon gift cards to spend. I want movies...books...whatever. We have 100's of movies {not kidding folks. Try living on base in Turkey for {2} years. Enough said.}. Suggestions? I love all kinds of movies except sci-fi and boyish movies. For books...really anything. Except anything historical or historicish. Love funny. Love chick lit. Love sad books.

*Puffy heart you all. Have a fabulous Tuesday!

ps-for the record and since this blog is a memory type of thing for my girls. Isabella, honey, you have been awake for hours in your room. You barely slept a wink at naptime--you were totally caught watching your Jack's Big Music Show "ddd". And now you refuse to go to bed. I just heard the "doggie" Santa brought you crying and begging for a treat. Go to sleep now. Please. Love you baby girl.
