Leo and I tried for almost two years before we successfully conceived our Isabella. I can remember the day that I found out I was pregnant like it happened yesterday...
I was lying on my couch and had a ham sandwich on the coffee table. I swear I could smell the ham and it made me so sick. I decided to take a pregnancy test right then and there. I'll never forget seeing the big positive staring back at me--it was the miracle that I had prayed for for so, so long.
When I showed the test {okay, I think I took somewhere around six tests--I may have a pregnancy test addiction...} he asked me if that's what we wanted--he was so shocked that it had finally happened!
With Madelyn we conceived fairly quickly to say the least. With Madelyn I felt nauseated for a few nights as I would be trying to fall asleep. It reminded me of the beginning of morning sickness with Isabella--not a high point during pregnancy.
I ran to Wal-Mart, picked up a pack of e.p.t pregnancy tests and called my Mom. Sure enough, pregnant. I taped the pregnancy tests {I took two that time just to make sure. And I may or may not have gone back to the store and picked more up the next day. Told you I had a problem...} up on our door--they were the first things that Leo saw when he got home that day.
He walked in and smiled and was in shock again. I still giggle about his reactions--he was just so adorable and happy--definitely a beautiful moment for our marriage.
I still have pictures of my pregnancy tests as well as a few of my test stashed away in my sock drawer--they're pushed waaaay in the back and occasionally I'll take them out, smile and look over at how big my girls are getting. Those were two of the most special days of my life and I never want to forget them--I want to remember the joy that I felt when I got the positive tests forever.
e.p.t has now come up with a great way for women to always remember and store their pregnancy memories--they now offer a commemorative Keepsake Case and scrapbook card to mark the life-changing occasion (available with a mail-in proof-of-purchase). I think that it's a fabulous way for women to have that on hand--much better than my sock drawer if I do say so myself.
I wrote this review while participating in a blog tour campaign by Mom Central on behalf of e.p.t and received an e.p.t. keepsake case and a $20 gift card to JustGive.org to facilitate my review.

Aw, so sweet! I only took one test with my older boys- and 3 with the baby. LOL

Good idea. I hung onto my tests for a few weeks and took pictures of them, but eventually threw them away because I didn't know where to keep them!
Such a sweet post! That will be fun to share with your daughters one day when they start having kids of their own!
Wonderful post! I've never thought to ask my mom what that moment (or moments- she had 4!) was like for her. Your stories are so sweet, and the keepsake case is a great way for mothers to share such an incredible moment with their children. Thanks!
I personally like my drawer, it reminds me - like a little surprise!
Sweet story, I remember my husband's face too.
I just thought for sure you going to say you were pregnant.
I think I had to pee in a cup for my first. There was nothing to hang onto except a cup of urine and that wasn't happening.
I think thats a fabulous idea!! I remember the day that we found out too. I took one in the morning and there was a faint line so I put it in my purse and brought it to work with me so my mom (I work with her) could look at it and then I think I took like 3 more when I got home!!! I don't think I have them still but it would be nice to have that memory!!!
I had a lot of trouble ttc and was a complete test-aholic!!! I think I would test 3 times every month!! (Good thing I worked in a physician office and the tests were free!!)
I always had to take multiple test too!!! I'm not quite sure about holding onto the test. I mean it's something you've peed on! I get taking a picture and all to remember, but the actual test! Seems gross to me.
This is a really great idea! I know lots of moms who kept them -- especially if they had been waiting and waiting! And I love this post, how you had such a great story to go with the PR!!!
I took only one test with the last 3 - believe me with the morning sickness I had - I knew - but with my first - I think I must have taken 15.
That's such a neat idea - I would have never thought that mothers saved these, but I can certainly see why now! They bring up such happy memories!!
It was great reading your stories when you found out you were expecting! I can't wait for that moment for us!
I remember when I found out too and it was just so unbelieveable! I also took a few tests just to make sure!!
