Right away I should have realized that something wasn't right. See, Madelyn woke up at 8:00. She never sleeps past 6 in the morning--I am not kidding.
Girlfriend is our alarm. Need to wake up early for some reason and afraid your power will go off or your alarm won't go off? Madelyn will take care of that for you--no worries!
I picked her up out of her crib. She was smiling and kicking her happy baby legs...and I saw that her diaper was off.
Right away I had a big "uh-oh" moment. Huge.
As she's still smiling away and kicking her legs away I turn on my lamp. I started to put her diaper on and I saw something. Something brown.
All. over. her.
Face. Hands. Baby booty.
Holy hell. There was poop freaking everywhere!!
I yelled at Leo to wake up--and then we started laughing. Hysterically--because seriously, when you have the cutest, sweetest little baby girl grinning at you--with poop literally all over her--you have to laugh.
And for the record--when I was filling up the bath for her? She peed all over me while we were sitting there waiting for the tub to fill. Awesome.

OH NO!!! Thankfully that hasn't happened to us. However, Buster did poop in the tub right before we left on vacation. He was so proud and said, "Daddy! Look what I did!". LOL

Oh. my. gosh. That is TOOOO funny!! And I think laughing is the best way to deal with these types of Mommy duties. (ha ha, get it? dooties?)

I love that she slept 2 extra hours covered in her own poop!!! That is just too funny. I just love poop stories. Never get sick of 'em!!

Oh my gosh, I am seriously laughing over here. One day I went to check on Allison while she was napping and she had her diaper pulled down past her knees, laying there butt up in the air.
Oh the joys of motherhood. You def got to have a sense of humor in order to keep your sanity. It sounds like all you needed was a little spit up or vomit to start the day off with;) lol

Seriously, Nat takes her diaper off in 1.2 seconds flat! It's crazy and terribly annoying!
The only thing she can't take off is a onesie..anything else, and she takes it off, then the diaper. Good luck!
I definitely laughed out loud at this post, that's too funny! I love that you yelled at Leo to wake up because I SO would have called my husband and been like, "Here you go!" At least she had a good time though, right?
I don't know if I could have laughed until after the clean-up!!!! I've seen it on a hand that reached down into a diaper but wow, you really got dealt!
Fortunately mine never did that overnight. It was always during the day---like when I was trying to grab a quick shower, or bathing the dog---times when my hands were full and there was nothing I could do. Izzy yanked off her poopy diaper once when I was in the shower. poop everywhere. the dog ran in and scooped it up and dragged it all through the house. omg. i almost checked myself into an institution that day. it was so bad!
I fricken love poop stories!!! Not really sure what I would do if I walked in and Mia was diaperless and covered in poop!
And I'm pretty sure her peeing on you makes it all that much funnier!!
It's amazing how we can laugh at being covered in poop and pee and not really think twice about it!

Now that is why I am so glad my kids are growing up! Oh I remember the day that I walked into my oldest son's room and everything was covered in poop - it was either laugh or cry - and I think I did a bit of both. :)
