Let me just say that it started in Target--screaming. Crying. Tantrums. All by Isabella...nothing new really.
So, we had to leave.
Thinking things would be better once we got to Chili's was shot down right after the words I'll get started with a Presidente. Hold the salt.
Isabella threw--scratch that--launched a damn fork into the air. It was as if the thing was on a mission to space.
I peeked my head up above the side of our table. Thank God the fork didn't hit anyone.
And thank God the closest table to where it landed was full of margaritas and draft beer.
They laughed. I apologized.
Isabella?
Had to go out to the car and then come back in and apologize to them.
They loved her and laughed about it even more.
Pretty sure that table was meant to be our new bff's...

omg.. thats why i quit taking bailey to restaurants with me!! Hes always talking to, peeking over, or something to the people sitting anywhere near us! hahaha good thing they were nice about it though ive had some real A-holes!!
I know what you mean. I've learned not to go anywhere alone with my 4 year old son anymore. He throws tantrums and misbehaves when he goes anywhere with me, UGH!
Thats fucking awesome lady!!!
Isabella and my Lucy need to get together... They'd run a fucking muck and there may be no survivors!
Glad the other table was so understanding! Smart move having her come back to apologize -- I probably would have never thought to do that!
Oh no! Those darn kids. LOL
We've had scenes in restaurants too, and it's terrible. The thing is, I think how you handle it goes a lot further than getting the kid to be quiet/behave.
I've had strangers come up to us and comment on how well we did diffusing a situation. And that feels SO GOOD.
oo so glad you had a margarita on the way! Glad the table was able to crack up about the fork.. :-P
I am so impressed with you that you had her apologize! Good momma!
I know how you feel. Patience is the only thing that can get me through it since I don;t drink!! :-)
Don't ya just love it when your children have melt downs in public...yeah right! Hmmmmmm, the Presidente. I might have to try that one!
omg it gets harder...that is what I get out of this story and I hate to laugh but I am by the way I love the name Isabella and also she will remember the apology for a long time.
