Best Friends Forever...

Madelyn has become quite the little character--from her wild dance moves, to the things that she says, I am constantly laughing with her.

Some of my favorite things about my girl include:

Her love for her family. She loves with all of her might and the love she has amazes me every day.

Her love of pumpkins. Now that Halloween is over it breaks my heart a little--especially when her Ariel carved pumpkin will be in the trash can and no longer on our front porch...wish me luck with that one...

Her dance moves. I have no way to describe these. She does a gallop, toe, hop move that has me laughing hysterically--seriously, it's beyond hilarious!

When she toots she says "I poot!" OhmyGod. SO hilarious.

The way she snuggles. When Madelyn was little it was very rare for her to actually want to be snuggled. She's always been independent, so for her to want to come climb on my lap? Heart melting.

Her love of Ariel, Snow White--basically any Disney princess. But her top fave? Ariel, hands down. She walks around singing the song that Ariel sings as Ursula is stealing her voice. YouTube it--and then imagine a two year old walking around singing it.

I could probably go on and on and on...girlfriend is such a sweetheart and my own live in comedian. I adore the little person she has become--and can't wait to see who she becomes in the future.

Happy Birthday, Sweet Madelyn

The Big "2"

Where has time gone?

You've captured my heart with your smile

your endless giggles

your heart melting 'mooches

your love of the outdoors

everything mermaid

especially Ariel.

You have the prettiest curls

The brightest eyes

The cutest of chubby cheeks.

Your heart is amazingly big for someone so small.

There are days that I think that you are wise beyond your years.

I love you, my little princess.

My number two

who is turning two.

I cannot wait for more years to come.

And I cannot imagine my life without you in it.

I love you, Madelyn.

For now.

For then.

For always and always.

Forever,
Mommy

Did I Tell You? I Have a Walker!

As in the cutest almost 14 month old little girl ever type of walker! Love her--and love how she gets so happy to just walk. Whether it's playing in the sprinkler with Bella, playing with Bella inside or just holding onto her momma's finger around the yard...she loves it all.

And why not throw in another picture of my little camera lover? Seriously, she loves it when I get the camera out--which makes for an easy subject.

Infantino Flip Carrier Review

Having two little ones can be extremely difficult to maneuver when about and about running errands, grabbing a bite to eat or attending a play date with friends. There are times that I don't mind bringing the double stroller, but it's so heavy and big that I try to only bring when absolutely necessary!

One of the items that I love using with Madelyn is my Infantino Flip Carrier. It's a huge lifesaver--and so comfortable! The Flip Carrier can be worn in a variety of different ways. Forward facing, outward facing or you can use it as a backpack carrier. Made for babies weighing 8 lbs all the way to 32 lbs. I'm disappointed that Madelyn is getting close to the max weight, but happy that we still have a few months ahead of use, especially with Leo leaving for his deployment soon.

The fabric that the Flip Carrier is made out of is very comfortable. It's made out of a soft mesh material and is padded to provided extra comfort. The flap can be buttoned down which I love for Madelyn to be able to look out of. It comes with an attachable bib to use if you have a drooler or a baby that is still in the spit up stage. As Infantino says the Flip Carrier "is a flippable, flexible, breathable little wonder" which I agree with 100%!

It's also a great carrier for Dads, too, being a neutral color and not too frilly or cutesy. You can find the Flip Carrier available at Target and Babies R Us for $29.99 - $33.99.

***Discount***

I also want to share a great discount with my readers for two of the other Infantino baby carriers, the Balance and the EcoSash. Right now through September 21 you can receive $10 off at Babies R Us!

***Giveaway***

Infantino is having a giveaway right now on the Infantino Facebook page for FIVE lucky winners! They will be giving away FIVE bouncers through September 1st.

I am a participant in a Mom Central campaign for Infantino and have received various Infantino products as part of my participation.

Fun w/PSE--Thursday Linky

It's no lie--I've been loving playing around with Photoshop Elements 8. Like love, love.

I am hoping to save up some money when Leo's gone to buy myself a new lens, too. I keep telling Leo that it will be my own little Christmas gift to myself...doesn't that sound fabulous?

Anyway.

If you have Photoshop Elements {or Photoshop, Lightroom, etc} there are so many fabulous sites out there that offer free actions. Have no idea how to even begin? Don't worry--I've been playing with it for months now and still feel lost a majority of the time.

There are a couple of online workshops that I would love to do--Amanda from The Photography Haven and  Everyday Elements both offer classes for all types of photographers! I may try to sign up for one soon before Leo leaves me for his deployment...I just know that pictures will play a huge role in his ability to watch our girls grow and change while being so far away.

Here is a picture that I took of Madelyn today after her doctor appointment {no ear infection--just a nasty virus} while she was snacking on fresh strawberries. I love this picture for so many reasons--but her facial expression is priceless.

So, here is the before:

And here is the after:

I performed two actions from the Pioneer Woman & then I made her eyes pop. I love the after--and I seriously love the feeling after I have played around with a photo and get an end result that I end up loving.

Have any before and after pictures that you would love to link up? Please do! And don't feel like you have to have software to play with your photos--I started out using Picnik which is free and tons of fun!

I can't wait to see your shots!

She's Seen Better Days...

So this little munchkin?

Is sick.

Again.

We're going for the record of how many times can a little one be sick over the summer...

Not really, but I can't believe she has a fever. A little cough.

Again.

Hoping it isn't another ear infection...

I guess we shall know at 2:30 today.

ps-picture was taken last week during our costume fun...she's nowhere near that happy this week...
