I finished the book I talked about in this post and I loved it. I loved the entire thing--the beginning, the middle AND the end. A lot of times I start getting bored while reading a book...not that one! Like I said before--it's an excellent summer read--perfect for the summer days coming up.
While my Mom was driving me to the airport on Saturday I realized that I had forgotten my spare book to begin reading on my flights home. Ugh! Totally like me--a little scatterbrained and forgetful...go figure. I knew I wouldn't last 10 minutes in the airport with nothing to read so I hit up one of the airport bookshops. I ended up buying this one:
A woman has adopted a little boy. In the first chapter she is getting home from work and sees a missing child flier that has arrived...she looks at the picture of the boy and it looks very similar to her son. To read more in depth about it click here to be taken to the book's page on the author's site.
So far I love, love, LOVE it! It's a little different from books that I have read in the past, but I am seriously happy with my pic. I'm hoping to get it finished by this week--so far so good!
What are you reading this week? Anything new and fun? Feel free to share below--I loved all of your suggestions last week!

I am reading My Life in France by Julia Child. I read a lot (like 4 books per week) and can still say that this is one of my top 10 books that I've ever read. LOVE it. If you liked Julie and Julia, particularly the Julia Child parts, you will love this book.
I totally need to pick up a book. Since the little one has come along, it's been just so hard to keep up with reading. Although I love reading. Thank you for the review!!
Sounds good!
The best thing I've read lately is House Rules by Jodi Piccoult.
I just finished Look Again! Really good book! I will have to check out what else Lisa Scottoline has written.
Well, I half way into THE FORGOTTEN GARDEN by Kate Morton. Great story, some mystery and intrique into generations of life. Well, worth the read.
Looks like I'm going to have to give this one a try. Saw it at Borders and now I know for sure I'll be picking it up on my next trip.
Happy Monday,
Kate - The Garden Bell
So do you think it was the word GARDEN in the title that got me... well, sort of...he-he..
I just finished the Postmistress by Sarah Blake, very good book! It's set in the 1940's.
I'll have to check out your suggestions I'm always looking for a good book!
I am reading "the last song" by Nicholas Sparks right now, all I can say is don't waste you time on this one. I just finished Jodi Picoults "Harvesting the Heart" It was really really good! The other one I recently finished it "Branded" by Keary Taylor, I loved this one! I am actually doing a giveaway on my blog, the giveaway is the book "Branded" you should go check it out, maybe get your next read for free ;D
I LOVE LISA SCOTTOLINE! I will read anything by her, she is great! (She even has a humor book out now, too, if you can believe it! My mom said it's really clever!) Look Again had me on the edge of my seat for so much of it! Let me know what you think when you're done!
Wow...that sounds like a great book - a little Face on the Milk Carton - esque...is it based on a true story??
WM
Look Again is on my list of books to read. I think it looks really good. I just finished reading Summer's Child by Diane Chamberlain and am now reading One for the Money by Janet Evanovich - it is about a woman who becomes a bounty hunter --- there is suspense and it is funny, not a common combo but so far it is working for me.
I'm reading The Pact by Jodi Picoult. It's really good, and I'm almost done with it.
Have a great week!
Oh I just LOVE a good book! Can't wait to go check it out! :)
That books sounds awesome! :O
I've not picked up a book in months that wasn't filled with illustrated characters and 2 sentences per page. I just reserved this from my local library. Can't wait to read it!
I'm not reading anything thus far, but that book sounds really intriguing!
That does sound good...i just read Open by Andre Agassi...actually pretty interesting...now I am reading Retail Hell by Freeman Hall...his accounts of being a salesperson in a department store...so far very funny!
Silly as it is, I'm finishing up the Twilight series!
oo glad you loved the whole book! The one you picked up at the airport sounds good! Glad you liked it I know I wouldn't have lasted a flight by myself with out a little something to read! I am reading The Time Travler's wife and getting into it!
This sounds like a good book. I'll have to see if our library has it. I just finished Eat, Pray, Love.
I decided to read ny times #1 fiction bestsellers for 2010, hardback and paperback. Right now I'm reading Fantasy in Death by JD Robb. Not something I'd normally pick but I'm enjoying it.
I'm reading 'The Help' and it is soooo good. I swear, it needs to be a movie!
I also just finished 'The Help' and loved it!!! Great summer read!
Great website. I love the name you picked! I'm currently reading "Confucius Jade". It's a historical fiction about Chinese culture and politics with alot of interesting twists woven into it...I can't seem to put it down.
I recently read 'Will the World End in 2012?' by Raymond C. Hundley. It was an interesitng read!
I just finished another Scottoline book called Daddy's Girl, and I liked it a lot!
I read this one! It's good. Not the best I've read but it kept me guessing that's for sure. Let me know what you think when you finish it.
I just finished reading The Rescue by Nicholas Sparks last night and I started reading The Guardian by him today! They're both pretty good...I don't take enough time to read like I used to! Last night was the first time I've read in bed in forever...I've missed it!
