How Does the Stuff Get There?!

So the other day I was driving to a doctor's appointment. Listening to The Laurie Berkner Band DVD {Hey, Victor! Hey, Freddy. Lets eat some. Spaghetti!} and 90's on 9--I have talent people. True, multitasking talent.

Ahem.

Like I was saying. I was driving and I just noticed how much random crap is laying on the side of the road. Have you ever noticed that?

Like, oh wow! Look! It's a shoe! What the?!

How do you lose a shoe while driving??

Or one of my favorites--a stuffed animal. It's as if some kid's parents had had it up to there and threw little Billy's favorite teddy bear ever out the window.

One of my other favorites is the shirt. I mean...a shoe--maybe. A stuffed animal--possibly.

But an article of clothing?

Whoops! There goes my t-shirt. Guess I'll just go to Target and margarita nite/wine store in my bra!

I think of the most random things sometimes, yes. But at least I'm not the one driving with one shoe on sans shirt and little Billy screaming for his beloved teddy bear out the window...

I always wonder who throws all those dead animals out onto the side of the road...I mean, what are they doing? Driving around with dead squirrels and raccoons in ther cars?? GROSS!!

LOL!!!

(Oh wait...now I remember...people like Anthony RUN OVER the poor little squirrels right next to busy sidewalks for everyone to see...very traumatizing)

lol, I've seen some crazy stuff out on the freeway too. A couple of years the hubs & I were on our way home from visiting his parents in NorCal & as we're driving in the fast lane I see a pretty large object in my lane so I swerve to avoid it. Turns out it was a skateboard kicker ramp & the poor sap behind me drove straight into it. I felt so bad that he hadnt had enough time to swerve & avoid it but all I could think was 'what the eff is a skateboard ramp doing on I-5?'. I feel really bad for the lil boy that got home & found out his ramp was no longer in the back of dads' truck :(

So funny! I've often thought the same thing especially times when I see like 1 shoe. I mean wouldn't you noticed only having 1 shoe on? Lol! Have a great weekend!

I totally think about how the stuff on the side of the road gets there! I did however lose a pair of paints on the interstate once. I was on the way to softball practice and my sweats were still wet (from the dryer). So I put my window down and hung them in the window and put the window up to lock them in. So they were flapping in the wind and drying. Well The part in the car was still wet so I tried to stick the waist of the pants out the window and close the legs in the window and they didn't hold and flew out the window. I wasn't about to stop and get them.. so there went a pair of sweats!

LOL I think that all the time. Altho one time I had to pull over to pick up a pillow case that I'd "lost" & flew into the median. It was way back in the day before I ever met the hubby. I was living with some friends & we didn't have a washer or dryer in our apartment so I went to my parents' to do laundry (for free LOL). That day I borrowed my roommates truck & one of the pillow cases just flew right out. I washed it like 3 times and never mentioned it to my roommate :P

When we were in DC, Otter played in one of those fountains where the water comes out of the sidewalk. (Ya know like on the movie Blank Check.) Hubby hung Otter's underwear out the car window to dry while we were on the freeway. He accidentally rolled down the window instead of rolling it up, and out they flew. We were laughing hysterically for like 15 minutes. So ya just never know. :)

LOVE your blog design by the way. I just ordered a new design!

I saw a TV - the old kind that had the turn-y knobs, just sitting by the side of the road for about two weeks. one day it'd be on it's back, then front, then side and sitting normal. I wasn't too sure if the people who lived there put it there or if someone decided to not want to throw it away. It was very odd.

That is so sad about the bear, I've never seen a stuffed animal on the side of the road!! Shoes, and all sorts of weird things, a baseball bat, and yes, just once, I saw a toaster. Wth?

Isn't Laurie Berkner the one that sings "I'm a Googlehead?" I must admit I have that one on my ipod.

I don't get it either. Why do people toss all that stuff out? Do they mean to litter or not? Just a couple days ago I saw a mattress alongside a highway. I also see shoes, clothing, etc.......alongside the road. Makes no sense.

I just get nervous when I see large garbage bags on the side of the road. I always think there might be a body inside. It is possible I watch way too much TV.

Oh my goodness! You are so so right! WHat the heck?! I just dont get it! One time I saw a entire wardrobe sprawled out on the side of the highway...not exactly the dresser drawer...what are people thinking!
I also have to agree with Much More Than Mommy...sometimes I think there may be a body inside...isn't it so freaky? I am glad im not the only one!
