Just Hide the Freaking Hammer.

I just tried to hang a picture by myself in our bathroom. I have two of them and they each take {2} nails.

After multiple holes, measuring and a pissed off mom I am no longer even trying.

I think I'll do what Leo told me in the first place...

Just wait until he gets home.

I hope he isn't too mad about the multiple holes...and I am thinking tonite is now a wine nite for sure...

LOL - I usually cover up my mistakes and don't tell Shhhhh

I also don't use a hammer - I use my meat tenderizer from the kitchen!

I let The Husband do it ALL. Because when he drills in the holes, he has me hold the vacuum hose beneath the drill to get the mess before it hits the ground. Also, no euphemisms or double entendres were used in the preceding sentence.

Oh, yeah, ditto over here. When I was securing our ginormous bookshelf to the wall. I had to find a wall stud first by drilling (we didn't have an electronic stud-finder at the time), and well, needless to say, my wall looks like swiss cheese now. In the end, I did find the stud, and the bookshelf hides the holes. I just have to make sure I remember not to move the shelf when I decide to redecorate! :)

Oh, no! I always use one nail...and make it work. Don't sleep under any pictures in my house.

I just finished this photo project thing that I was working on and it takes two nails to hang it! I'm not even going to attempt it! Lol...I'll have to wait until this weekend when hubby is off to do it for me!

At least there was no cussing... smashed fingers or a hammer smashed into he wall, head burried in dry wall, just the handle dangling out due to said samshed finger, or trips to urgent care involving co-pays, x-rays and finger splints... not that I would know...

My husband couldn't hang a picture if his life depended on it... He leaves it all up to me!! I would hang it for you if I could!! :) Good Luck!! Take a sip of wine for me tonight! I need it and wont be getting any!! :)

My mom uses these velcro hangers from 3M. They are the type with the sticky stuff on back that doesn't peel the paint off walls if you want to move them (or mess up.) You could try that next time!

*lol* I remember trying to do the double nail hole pictures at our first place, I did the same thing with multiple holes. Now it's all for Rich!

Have you tried those mighty hooks, they sell them at walmart. They're the semi-curved ones, and on the commercial it said it can hold up to 50 lbs I think? I didn't think they'd work, but they're awesome - we haven't tried a 50 lb pictures yet though. That's how I put stuff on the walls now, especially since it leaves a tiny hole instead of a big one like a nail/screw.

HAHA! We are so much alike. That sounds like the shelf hanging fiasco that happened here a few weeks ago! There are holes and black scuffs all over the place! BUT I somehow managed to get them hung (total fluke I swear) but every time Anthony shuts the patio door I panic a little because I just know they are going to come crashing down :)

LOL so how did it go last night? Is the picture hung? How did Leo handle it? I hate when I try something and it doesn't turn out!
