I know, I know, it sounds a little depressing...but, hey--he will be gone for over six months...that's a long, long time to be away from your best friend.
Okay, anyway, I'm going totally off track here. Back to the vacay.
One of my favorite authors, Mary Kay Andrews, recommends this quaint little cozy place--and y'all? I'm in looove.
I want to go to Mermaid Cottages so, so bad. I would love to sneak away with Leo for a couple of days--seriously.
This is the one I love. I SO want to find some shutters like that for my bedroom...
This to me is a slice of heaven. As in when I think of a vacation I think of peace. Quietness. Curling up with a book and reading.
A spare bedroom. I'm in love...
Sipping a mug of steaming coffee on the front porch in the South and just living. Totally my type of dream vacay...
I want this...as in right now...
What's your ideal vacation? Are you the type that wants to go, go, go and see anything and everything? Or are you more like me...you just want to get away and relax? And where are you dying to go?
I was not contacted by Mary Kay Andrews or Mermaid Cottages to

I don't know what I would do if Justin was gone for 6 months! I think it's totally important for you to get away with the hubs! That place looks amazingly relaxing. I'm a warm beach and pool kinda vacation gal. We actually get to go to Jamaica at the end of January and I plan on doing NOTHING! I like to just relax and lay by the pool and only do stuff if and when I want to! Thats really the only time that I just go with the flow and not stress about it.
Make sure you two get away!! Soak each other up...I know that's what I would do!
oh friend that looks down right dreamy!!
Good luck hun! Before B left we didn't get a chance to get away, I highly recommend it!!
I'll be thinking about you! from one military wife to another.
This is the effect I am trying to create in my house with this type of decor! I am not there yet, but I am hoping it will bring a little peace when its there!
Aww, I hope you guys can get away for a little bit *big hugs*
My ideal vacation is the perfect balance of doing nothing and doing fun stuff.
We often go to Cancun as a family vacation (in fact, we'll be going there next Feb) because we can just relax and lay at the pool or the beach, or we can go shopping or on other excursions. It's the perfect place for a family vacation.
Hey! I saw your comment on my blog from last night.
We're PCS'ing to a base in California. I'm so excited. I LOVE moving. I'm weird too.
I just wish that B was here to help. I get to do our first PCS all by myself.
I love those shutters - I hope that you guys are able to get away and soak each other up! I can't imagine Hubby going away for 6 months.
I hope you get to steal a get away with your Honey before he leaves. I hope his deployment goes by quickly. I know how had that can be on a family!
That place looks so relaxing!!!
I'm a bit of a contradiction I suppose. A bit of go go going and a bit of relaxing. My husband probably leans more towards the relaxing. :)
That place looks really cute. I love places like that. We find some cute & cozy b&b's here in New England.
Those photos are so pretty, and looks like they'd be so relaxing.
I'm more of a person who wants to see and experience, than relax. I spend a lot of my free time relaxing, and have barely seen any of the world.
This looks amazing... Can I have a slice of that decor in my real life?
Looks heavenly :-)
There is an award waiting for you at my blog.
